Great Video, I have one small improvement... provided that you exported your model in the same pose you fitted your Garment. If you export your character right after importing it into Mixamo, without an animation selected, you can export it in the 'original Pose' (not T-Pose). Then you import that fbx to CLO and save it as a Pose. you can delete the avatar after, you just need the pose. When you then proceed to import the fbx with the animation, you can Pose the Model via the Pose-file instead of fiddling around with posing manually. ;)

IF you are RENDERING the animation it is going to take a very long time. Each FRAME is a rendered image. So if it takes your computer 10 minutes to render a single image, multiply that by the number of frames in the animation. [ex. 10mins x 500frames = 5000mins or 3.5 days]

Sorry but in CLO you cannot create your own motions. There are already several catwalk animations that do come with CLO. If you want to make your animation own you will need to look at other programs and that is not something we can help with.
Is it possible to blend (feather blend) multiple motions after each other like in DAZ3D? For example going from T-Pose to Walking forward to turning left then to posing etc. creating a complex full animation

In the 2nd part, I can't seem to be able to export the FBX in a zip file : I'm on 6.1.250, and the zip option seems to have been replaced with "Embed Media"... which gives out a black fbx, without any texture. Any tips on how to be able to feed Mixamo the avatar with it's texture? The only way I see right now is to export the model through GLB, convert it to FBX in Blender and reexport it from there, but maybe there's a simpler way ^^ thank you!

Is there a way to save the video before the final render is finished? I realised I dont have time to wait, but I dont want to loose what I already rendered.
Rendering Animations does take a log time, there is not a lot you can do to speed this up as it depends on your computers processing capacity and speed. The Render properties action is the area where you would adjust quality which can also affect speed. Lower quality light/material settings combined with a higher noise threshold will speed up the process but the compromise is image quality. Having a PC or MAC that meets the highest recommended specs will help, but still overall, Rendering animations can often take hours.
I am on version 6.1 and I am still facing the maximo error avatar ! I also checked the clo support web for the problem, people are still facing this problem ! are we getting some news anytime soon ?
The CLO animation feature does not have true camera properties like a video editing software. One option would be to capture two different views/angles and edit externally.
This can be done by simple hiding the actual Avatar after you have recorded the animation. It does not matter if the Avatar is visible or not during the actual recording, but after this is made you can click Shift+A to show/hide the avatar. Then when you playback the animation and record it for saving the Avatar will not show.
Is it possible to animate (or just render) and render the animation without my avatar being visible? So only the garment moving. Or do I need another additional software for that?

First I would check your hardware specs; support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000307168-CLO-system-requirements-May-2021-. If you are RENDERING Turntables and Animations it IS going to take quite a while. However many frames you choose multiplied by how long it takes to create a single image.

This was a great video. I do see that you are showing multiple motion variations underneath the avatar motion file. I am using the same avatar but only have one. Are there different versions of CLO?
You might have to download the assets in the library. If you see a little blue arrow or blue N in the library click on the arrow to download new assets. If you are on a version lower than 5.1 These are not available in lower versions.

You should be able to export the animated .FBX file that includes the garment
Along with the correct FBX export from CLO, note the IMPORT options for the other software.
In my case, the rendering avatar on the right side does not have any shadow, which makes it look less real. How did you get the nice shadow?
click show shadow in the render options
Click on 'Light Properties' at the top of the Render view. Shadow properties are in the property editor.

FBX export has been updated and ZIP is no longer an option. Use "Embed Media"

The exporting process in CLO has not changed. You might do some research about the importing in Mixamo.

There are certain versions of CLO that have issues when importing FBX files back into CLO. Be sure you are using the latest version of CLO.
How can I make a santa hat move with the avatar animation ?
Use the Measure Tools to add a measure to the head, then Attach to Measure. This will attach the hat to the avatar.

Are you talking about the Custom Views? Right Click on the background of the 3D window--> Custom Views.

Absolutely. In the 3D Toggle Menu, under Avatar Display simply press the first option; Hide Avatar. The garments will interact with the hidden Avatar.

I found the post in their website, but even if I flag "save video" it saves me only separate images.. However, thank you for your reply!
This was a great video. I do see that you are showing multiple motion variations underneath the avatar motion file. I am using the same avatar but only have one. Are there different versions of CLO?
You might have to download the assets in the library. If you see a little blue arrow or blue N in the library click on the arrow to download new assets. If you are on a version lower than 5.1 These are not available in lower versions.
