Homage to Lester Young - East of the Sun

Lester Young died 59 years ago today, March 15, 1959 . I made this a year ago. He made it back from Paris to his home overlooking Birdland. As the N'or easter raged outside, I put together this homage using his solo from "East of the Sun." I love this tune, a beautiful example of the man who put the sweet in bittersweet.

Eve, glad you stumbled upon. Yeah "East of the Sun is so bitter sweet" Shot in my back yard in Gloucester starring Oscar the hound dog and Sabre the Kitty. Hope all is well with you.
