    *ANYTHING* to use up my washi tape! I have so much and you're right-- use it or lose it! Many of my tapes need an extra nudge with putting my ATG tape down first in order to stay put. Hmmm... Maybe I'll cover a few A2 sheets with double stick adhesive and go at it today. Great ideas!

    Great idea because I have so much washi tape! When I started stamping I ordered a bunch thinking it would be so useful and... I barely use it. You just created a plethora of opportunity!

      It is a great way to use up some of that stash! 😊. You can also create full sheets of card then cut them down into card panels for backgrounds.

    Now how fun is this!!! You're brilliant! Because washi tape pulls off so easy, I don't see the point of it. When I use it (yes, I actually have some/lol), I apply it over cardstock covered with an adhesive sheet! I don't want washi tape pulling up on my "beautiful work of heart"!!! It ruins the whole affect. I love your Falala card! Those pine cones are so cute (if there is such a thing as a "cute" pine cone)!!!

      Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Using adhesive sheets is a great way to keep it from pulling apart. Sheer pressure does a good job too! 🩷

      I usually use glue or tape under but the whole sheet is great to make a front, which I was thinking of doing after seeing this video. Thanks for the tip!

    All cards are fabulous; though I do tend to lean towards pinecones, as I am surrounded by pine trees, the Joy-Snowman card wins me over. Joy-snowman has a simplicity, though warm and exquisite.

    Long post warning! I appreciated your comments at the beginning of the video when you talked about how your mind works while creating cards. I'm not big into "finishing touches" like enamel dots or Nuvo drops. It seems by the time I choose paper for my background, (sometimes die cut the paper into large pieces [geometric shapes]), and select a focal point, I'm tired of decision making. And, I get a little lazy....I don't want to then make room right in front of me for the paper cutter, the embossing powder, heat gun, inks/stamps, sheets of enamel drops, etc. Honestly, I have such a huge hoard of paper that I just want to USE the paper before my life on this earth ends! Ha. I understand that You Tubers feel compelled to show viewers COMPLETED cards. But I'm happy making a card background, adding it to the pile, and moving on to the next background. I'll come back to the pile to finish them off on another day (or week or month). Interestingly, in most other tasks I take on, I'm a bit of a "pit bull" about seeing things through to completion. A brain is a fascinating organ! Thanks for letting me get this out of my head and into writing because the thoughts have been floating around up there for weeks now!

    I didn't realize washi tape could lose its stickiness. So if u use it on a card or in scrapbooking, will it eventually fall off? I love your channel & the different things you cover. Thank you for your help!

    • @villagecardandcrafts
      @villagecardandcrafts  19 днів тому +1

      Potentially it could come off. You could wrap it around the card and secure it with tape. Running it through a die cutting machine helps to embed it into the card as well. Using an adhesive sheet beneath it is always a good option. I appreciate you watching and commenting! I’m glad you enjoy my content!

    I watch another idea where bees wax is used on images, perhaps try iton? ?Antique tones of washi tape might be interesting the wax makes the product translucent and flexible Journal book eye catcher?

    I probably have 50 rolls, if not more. I keep forgetting them. O:45 they might lose their stickiness. Indeed. I use my microwave to give them back their stickiness. I go 7 seconds, check it out, and then 8 seconds. Works like a charm. Since I've viewed this video a few days ago, I made several cards (I'm not on FB 😪) and it's been fun! I haven't tried with the heat gun but if someone does, let me know!
