After the first part of the song ended, i was very calm. But didn't expect a second half! Me and my friend did a extended version of the song back then when V1 was out. So seeing this on the mod was such a surprise! A really well done job!
The second half fully gives the impression that Gold is clinging onto what little life he has left. His terrified expression doesn't fail to make you feel dread either! Super good v2 for Monochrome! ❤
I like to think that, by saying "No more", he wanted his suffering to end. But the Unown didn't like that their puppet was rebelling, and completely possessed him, forcing him to keep singing. You can tell by his expression too that he's still aware of what's going on, and in more pain than he was before.
I love how SimplyCrispy very very subtly changed the (calm) first half of the song. She changed it just so that you can barely notice it's not v1 Monochrome.
it's about as modified as the rest of these songs to really lure you into a false sense of security thinking it's the same, and then splashes some cold water in your face when the second half hits
It is insane that you somehow managed to make this song even better, I am actually blown away. The screamers were a real cool addition in the old version, but the 2nd part of this song integrates the screamers into it so well that it would just seem like something was missing if they weren't there.

A part of me feels like the root of the problem is that those mods were getting too big in scope, so naturally things would become harder to manage. Like, of course all the teams had their own individual issues, but overambition is the bane of any creative project.

I don't know if it's random chance or if I did something to cause it, but I do know that I will never be able to see this song in a serious tone again.
It has a low chance of showing up, but it serves to show that while Gold might be nothing but an emotionless puppet for the Unown, he still has some traces of the 11 year old he used to be before all of this happened. And then phase 2 happens where he finally voices his desire for his torment to end, only for the Unown to fully possess him, taking away his free will and forcing him to continue singing.
