SNORKELLING IN THE WHITSUNDAYS (Catamaran Boat Life)

We are leaving Airlie Beach on Australia's East Coast to go on a 2 day, 2 night catamaran sailing tour of the Whitsundays. We stayed on the Avatar boat and this trip was booked by Welcome To Travel who were so helpful during the whole backpacking and working holiday visa process. Whitehaven beach was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my whole life and I really pushed myself by snorkelling for the first time when I am not a confident swimmer. We saw so many fish and coral and some girls even saw a turtle!! I'm proud of myself and it was an amazing experience however I didn't LOVE living on a boat (I think that's just who I am) and so that tainted it slightly for me. Nothing bad towards the crew or the company, just personal preferences.
After the Whitsundays we were dropped back off in Airlie Beach where we took the Greyhound bus to Townsville and then the Sealink ferry to Magnetic Island where we stayed 2 nights at a Selina hostel - room tour included! I loved it here - it's a bit of a faff travel wise to get to and we didn't rent a car or see any koalas or rock wallabies but we used it as time to rewind and relax after our boat tour.
