It's fine to make sacrifices for love and to go through hardships but for lost you forever three men go through the hardest hardships for the same love what kind of plot play is that? What's the lesson then? Also the story starts with two children being separated by fate later even her lovebug unconsciously chooses the brother because he's always been her true love, so how comes they don't end up together? This story has no straight moral story it's actually all over the place. Look at Xiang Liu he was so invested and sacrificed a lot but for ❓ To me Xia yao is confused and confusing everyone it's not an ideal play. Period.
I see the incestuous love between brother and sister, even if not blood-related, is permeating the Chinese drama land, even modern era dramas! I never encountered it in Europe. I can't get it , it makes me vomit and it is a reason why I dropped watching this drama.
In the drama they reduced their blood relationship to only foster cousin. Her mom is just a disciple/student of CX’s grandma. They know modern society can’t accept so that’s why they changed it in the drama.

You can watch Nirvana in Fire then. There are so many well written Chinese dramas you are spoilt for choice. As for me, I love this drama as it is.
