May I add something that can cut down on all the copying? I used to do as you suggest : Copy and use a pen to mark off what I had or used up with the circles, lines and fill in spaces. However I was constantly copying and buying printer paper. So I purchased a package of plastic sleeves, dry erase pens, one microfiber cloth and some string.
Punch a hole in the margin of the sheet protector sleeve and tie a dry erase pen and a piece of microfiber cloth on an 18” string, then attach to the punched hole. Then hang the whole list from one of those Command hooks attached to the freezer. As you add or subtract items from your inventory, just wipe off or mark on the plastic sheet. Only copy once.
I raise much of my own fruit and vegs. so storage is an issue. This works for freezer, pantry, root cellar, etc. If the power goes out we know right away what needs to be eaten first.
When we moved out of state I placed my protected lists in an old notebook . I made lists by rooms of the house and what was in each labeled and numbered box. When we reached our new residence, each box was taken to the room of choice. As we needed items from a box that wasn’t unpacked yet. the lists made it easy to find without unpacking everything to find it. Made life easier and organized without the mess and frustration. We’ve moved a lot in 54 yrs of marriage. ♥️
All great ideas. I need to be better about rotating my inventory more regularly. Just last month I reviewed Best Buy dates and found some I had missed earlier. Plus, I realized that I have enough pickles for a few years! So, maybe just one cucumber plant this year😊

Excellent ideas and extremely micro managed.. it might be hard for people like me 😅 one thing I might change is instead of one big line of circles for each category..I would make 2 lines if smaller circles or squares. Also, just taping the circle side as a copy over the one filled out. Just white out the circles on the full one and leave the others alone . Or just white out the filled line and use your X marks or / marks rather than change anything on the original sheet.. just a thought..
I do a lot in plastic baggies to eliminate using so much plastic ware and taking so much room and expense. I’m putting categories in shallow boxes to just pull out and I can label and stack them. It’s kinda fun 😂 We also have a vacuum packing machine.
We had to buy a second freezer as we bought a half beef. I’m using our refrig/ freezer for prepared and one big freezer for assorted and big box items [ Costco waffles etc] and burger. And the new one with just overflow beef.

Oh yes! The circles really can’t get any smaller and still be readable, but I think it’s an interesting idea to have something that could be placed on top and taken away as needed. I did think about laminating and using dry erase markers? Lots of room for expansion! Amen, He is in control!
