- I am about to do a major fridge, freezer & pantry inventory and how to use up your food. This food inventory system is perfect if you have lots of food in your pantry and fridge that you need to use up. I am sharing how I come up with meal ideas to use up what I have and some of the tools online that you can use to find recipes that will take advantage of what you have!

Oh yey finally a youtuber mentioning allrecipes. Thats my go to for over 10 years. The app made me become a cook and expressing my love of food
It's so good! TONS of recipes and lots of reviews and fun features!
@@SophisticatedOrganization exactly, definitely 😉
I loved this! I just updated my garage freezer and garage refrigerator/freezer inventory--so great minds think alike! I don't inventory my pantry or inside refrigerator/freezer--except I do have a bin of oddball items in my pantry. I love the idea of figuring out recipes ahead of time to make sure we use up those odd ingredients. Also, I've been looking and looking for sturdy labels for my bins. I've tried a bunch of things, but nothing was ever "just right." I saw your video where you had those plastic insertable label holders. I bought them and they are PERFECT! Thank you for the great idea!
Hi Sophie, great video as always ! When I get back from the grocery store, I write down the products expiration dates on 1-inch round stickers (I buy them in bulk) and stick it either on the lid of the container or in the front, so that I can easily and quickly spot the expiration date. This way I instantly know which items should be thrown out or used up before they go bad. You can even color-code with bright eye popping colors but I personally just use white or black stickers so that when you look into the fridge, it keeps the look streamlined and minimal, like I prefer. I do the same for all my freezer and pantry items. I really like this method. ❥. Also, I had to mention that you have such a flawless complexion ! Being pregnant really looks good on you ! ❥
So exciting!! 🤩
Thank you Sophie for the inspiration. I use to clip so many recipes and then never try them so it’s time to get my book out take an inventory and see what I can use up.
Yay! Thanks so much for such a fun collab! I learned so much, I really like how you did this plan of ways to use up various ingredients in the pantry! And your pantry is seriously goals…
Yay! Thank you! I love how we both took the idea different ways! One more "foodie" and one more "organized" - the perfect duo!!
For all of those odd ingredients such as tapioca flour, arrowroot powder, coconut flakes/sugar/flour, flax seeds, ground flax, check out Bakerita!! She makes amazing desserts that are typically gluten free, dairy free, and vegan. I found her bc my husband is allergic to dairy so her recipes are perfect and they typically require those ingredients you’ve listed! ☺️ the only one I’ve tried from her which I LOVE is the pecan pie bars and they utilize coconut flour, coconut sugar, tapioca or arrowroot powder, and flax!
Thank you so much for sharing and sending! What a perfect recipe to use up all of the little odd baking items I have. Totally going to give it a try!
Good Morning, Sophie, I have to say you are looking radiant! Thank you for sharing another helpful video.
Oh thank you!
Loved this vid I’m going to try to do this!
You can do it!
I’m envious of the size of your pantry!
Although my pantry space and fridge are small I sometimes forget certain products in them🤦🏽♀️, I sometimes go through my pantry to see which foods are close to expiration and use them up. Thanks for sharing Sophie ❤️❤️❤️
What a good way to make use of things before the big move! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I love that website. It was my go to site when I went keto a few years ago. Like you, I also print and keep a binder. Once I make it, we all decide which is a keeper & which is NOT (lol).
I love this! We are getting ready to move so I'm trying to use up as much as possible from our fridge/freezer/pantry. We will have some interesting meals as we get closer and closer to the move 🙄
That is the perfect time to do this!! haha hey, it happens, and totally worth it in my mind to move with less, use what you have, and save some money!
I need to do this in my pantry! Thanks for the reminder. 🌸ad
You should!
Thanks Sophie
Thank YOU!
Loved the video! Such GREAT ideas!! It is frustrating to me that it seems as though every year or so my printer dies. Currently my printer is dead. I would love to print the items you mentioned. I some point I shall. 🙂
You can use arrowroot powder anywhere you use cornstarch or other flours for thickener. Use a little bit less.
Yes was going to say this too! I actually prefer arrowroot now. I always dust my potatoes with it before I bake them so they get extra crispy!
Wow thank you both! I need to try it on my potatoes now too!
Another great video!
Do you do anything special with recipes you've tried and haven't liked? I used to throw them away, but I've accidentally made the same (bad) recipe twice!
I usually just throw mine away too, thats a really good point tough, luckily I havent had that happen yet!
Where did you get your oil bottles that are on your lazy Susan in your pantry?
I have a working pantry that I do not list and a store that I do. As things move from store to working, I take them off my list and add to shopping items.
I like your binder of recipes to try. How do you organize your favorite recipes?
All in my binder, I just mark the ones that I have tried and loved
I put nutritional yeast on popcorn and most roasted vegetables.
Such a good idea! I forget about using it on popcorn and haven't tried roasted veggies but that sounds good!
My sis is a super organized person like you and she always tells me to got down and have an inventory list but i really do not like writing
You can even just take a quick little mental inventory if that works better for you! Just nice to check in on what you have so you don't forget and food doesn't expire!
@@SophisticatedOrganization yes thats the way i do my inventory 😂and even take pics of my fridge, freezer, pantry and overstocks etc before hitting the grocery store (ahum costco 😝)
Ha - I have the same organic dressing...
haha how funny!!
@@SophisticatedOrganization Good ingredients!
