I enjoyed the video. The only thing what probally was not clear was the image size it's actually meant to fit to a 500gb which was what's advertised on my channel and has the recommended free space left for the system. The genesis plus GX is a known issue with retroarch and on known issues and needed a retroarch update which is done simply by going to options retropie setup and manage packages update core packages which I put in notes the extra update genesis info is optional and it was my way of just making sure genesis has no issues. it's the same for all default retropie builds. I add only a few games at a time and test them and then add to collections so an extra 500+ on this build plus all computer systems setup it was a huge update worked on everyday all day. I'm glad you enjoyed the build and hope many users get enjoyment out of it. Happy gaming all, sharing is caring. Rick D

500gb is the right size since not all micro sd cards have the perfection partition size. Like PNY cards are smaller than San Disk even though they are both 512.
@@drewtalks My 512gb card formats as 476gb - agh. I forget that we use GiB and GB interchangibly these days! (multiples of 1,000 vs 1,024 ) I've just finished downloading the pure 500 image - showing as 419gb, does it unpack to 500gb? If so, I'll need a 1tb SD card to try this out - I guess I could grab the 317gb image instead, just less stuff obviously.
Rick strikes again! Got Damn! Love the passion on this man. Thank you RD for another bomb ass image. This time 512 gig and should be plenty of quality game for hours and hours of game play! Thanks Drew for doing the review on these newer images! Looks like Virtualman has fizzled out into the ether! What happened to the once great image creator for Pi?

Hey Drew, i am new to raspberry and retropie, so i hope you can help me out: I love this theme epic noir from you video, but i can't find it on my raspberry pi 4. Under ES themes i downloaded everything possible (192 themes) but can't find one with the words "epic" or "noir" in it? Am i missing anything?
I'd love to download the theme as well and add it to other images I have, like the 1TB Wolfanoz. Any help finding it would be greatly appreciated. Im sure theres info on how to add themes through SSH somewhere, but tips would be great too!
Hello you Quick question, everything works great for me, only the N64 games are very small in the bottom right of the screen and cannot be played without sitting directly in front of the TV. All other games have the perfect format.
I set up everything and bootet the first time. But booting seems to have stopped while still in the DOS like surface. How can I proceed to get to the Retropie OS?
if Pi4 struggles to play certain emulation... why not just a get a cheap PC to run them better? Wouldn't the power from that be much better and still small enough? Does it have to be a PI to run the image?
Thanks so much for this review, based on it I downloaded it and installed and it is the best. Thanks for getting it in front of me. One issue I am having is with getting my 8bitdo pro controller connected. The PI isnt finding the Bluetooth on the controller. I can wire it directly but no Bluetooth control. Then when wired I can’t back out of a game to the menu again using select/start. I’m new to this PI stuff so it probably operator error but I’ve been messing with it for hours and I even used you tutorial on that specific controller. Keep up the good work and I’m hoping I can figure this issue out
Really? What games? I just have to swap to controller for the dreamcast games i think. I haven't bothered trying yet. Some slowdown here and there on his p4b image but overall i LOVE it. It's on all day lol.
@@EQOAnostalgia so far only n64 stuff. Hello. What do I have to do to burn this iso inside a MicroSD card? I have Rufus tool but is taking hours to burn only 1%, it`s going to take weeks to burn 512gb. i appreciate any tip to helpe me to resolve this matter best regards
I was using this and it’s great but how do you change controls in a game. For example Retaliation on psx wanted a mouse where the PS version plays with a controller. So I couldn’t play this one. Still recommend this image though
I d/I’d the first version (of the Final, lol!), and it took days on bitT to get. I’m sure it was my random German card that reads “1024GB” , but no luck. Going to get a Samsung Select 512GB and try again! If he releases a compiled pack, I’ll put it DLing while I spend days playing what I have!
If u connect ur pie to ur network, u can open a folder on ur PC desktop, then click on THIS PC, then in the top search bar type \\hostname (what ever that happens to be) and then u are able to access the image and remove / add what ever u wish.
Hey so I’m setting up my first multicade and I’m looking for an image I want to have on my system. I really really like this one but my SD card is 32gb. Do they have a 32gb version of this one?
You’d be better off making your own IMO. I didn’t even have a big list of games when I initially had my 32gb SD (less than 300) and that was enough to fill it up completely
Is there a way to add the image to a PS3? Now that the PS3 is "obsolete" no more updates etc. How can I place that image on the hard-drive and use that instead of purchasing a raspberry pi 4. Or would this work on a raspberry pi 3B? Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.

I would also LOVE to see you do a vid of his “Kids safe” image. That has the potential to be a sanity-saver for sleeping parties, knowing they can have access to PLENTY of games, but rest assured ‘’LiesureSuitLarry” is NOT gonna be there!
It might be a lot of work but if you’d like to have the best of both worlds you can hand select the games you’d like to be available in “kid mode”. Hover over the title you want and press select, then select (off the top of my head so sorry if it’s called something else) “Change Meta Data For This Game”. Scroll down all the way and there will be a “kids game” option. This is good for making a “fool proof” retropie because you can get rid of settings menus and run command so kiddos can’t mess anything up
