The WrestleMania IV belt was big on the Macho Man, so the property plate was removed to add more snaps. A new belt was made around SummerSlam 88 with the Heavyweight bar filled in black but had a Velcro closure. Hogan won a new belt at WrestleMania V with the Heavyweight bar left gold. This one might have a more pointy cut in the top of the leather. I’m not sure if he used another belt with the bar filled in black throughout 1989, but Mr. Perfect destroyed the WrestleMania V belt in the fall on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
I own the WWE Shop Dual Plates Winged Eagle and I REALLY like how subtle the plate curves are. I hate super big curves in a lot of manufacturers’ replicas. I painted in my Heavyweight banner myself on my belt.
The WWE Shop Winged Eagle dual plated is the version of the Winged Eagle I have. I had to buy it because I had an autograph signing with The Undertaker and needed the belt quickly. Otherwise I would have bought my Winged Eagle from a different maker and probably would have gone with an HD quality belt. I may still do that sometime down the road but for now I've got plenty more belts I want for my collection so I'm content with the WWE Shop version for now. Most of my belts will be SD quality but there's a few of the World Heavyweights that I'd like to have in HD, the Winged Eagle being on of them. Great collection you've got btw. This is an enjoyable hobby, expensive, but fun.
Question about the Fanatics sale: was there a site wide sale or was it specific to this belt. That price can’t be beat and I want to be on the lookout for next time.
@mikemcdonald1752 That's quite an involved process. The first stop would be a plating shop. Expect to pay over $700 for plating, I had my output jack plate and bridge plate plated in 24k gold on my PRS SilverSky and it was $427. Then you'd send the plates to a leather guy, you're looking at another $250-300 easily. Then expect to pay for any gem stones it might have and any paint work on the belt.
What do you use to display your belts? I want a Winged Eagle(it's the only belt I want honestly), but I wanna buy a case that will for sure fit the size of the belt first.
Honestly, it took me a couple of weeks to find it. Especially this time of the year, some people bought some as Christmas gifts for their dads or brothers etc. My advice is to check the mom and pop type of liquor stores. The ones that are well known and have multiple locations typically don't have it because it's already sold out. But if you can find a small liquor store that is kind of off the beaten path, that nobody thinks to look at, they'll typically be the ones to have it because it's not on anybody's radar.
@@Mr.Cynical92 the problem in Québec you can only get liquor from the gov store. Beer and wine you can get everywhere. But thanks brother enjoy Christmas times.
@naitch1761 Eagle Rare is one of the hardest to find. Along with Blanton's, Weller, Colonel E.H. Taylor and Booker's if you find it, you better scoop it up. Hell, even Buffalo Trace is hit and miss. A lot of high end restaurants will have those whiskeys and you can buy a shot or order a pour of them.
Just came across this review and based off this video alone I’m definitely subscribing. Very informative and helpful. Thank you.

It was part of a sale on a bunch of belts but this one was by far the lowest 😅
@@ChrisRKO1 that price was so low I wonder if someone made a mistake!
Both look great, I'd love to own either!
Where would one go to restore their belt?

I'm currently in the middle of setting up a display. So right now they are lying face up wherever I can find a spot in the basement.
I just want to try some of that Bourbon :)
Love em both. Great video
Are the Orm bars thicker or thinner than the shop belt?
Thinner but orm can make you what you want.
@@naitch1761 awesome. Thanks for the reply!
