I doubt that, he's new at controller, the only reason why hes doing speedruns is because he knows correct aim and game sense. Taking away aim would be a big disadvantage, due to other people having years of console experience and having superior aim. (Good idea though, would love to watch it)

@@Christian-xn1oc You're forgetting the fact that everyone's aim will suck on console compared to pc (yes, even those who have a lot of experience with console aiming will still not have such insane aim that it would create a big aim gap, and aim assist will probably lower the gap even more), so game sense will probably be more important than aim on console. IDK how many new players will arrive to console, but if it pulls enough new players there, keeoh's game sense will give him a massive advantage and could mean he might have an easier time climbing on console than on pc.
Now, Valorant is a team game, and if what i've heard about CoD lobbies is correct (i've never played CoD so it's just what i've heard), he might have a hard time playing with his team and that could make climbing harder.
This was honestly needed on console and I’ve been saying that valorant should be on console for so long. So excited for the release.

i have a few questions,
1. i understand there is no crossplay, but could you still play with your friends on PC or mobile in maybe a custom game.
2. can you now use controller on PC in a way that is similar to console.
3. are there going to be any console or PC exclusives like agents, maps, or skins.
4. are there any plans for a fully fledged competitive for console like VCT.
5. will there be a way to use gyro controls that you can use to aim.
6. is there support for using controller that has more buttons than your basic controller, for example a scuff controller has buttons on the back; can I use those natively on console valorant.
these are probably peoples biggest questions so if you or anyone has answers that would be great. they should def add a crossplay gamemode where your friends on console and PC can play, non competitive and the only way you can queue into it is if at least one player in the team is on either console or pc.

it's different game builds, agents and some othee stuff will be slightly different so it's highly unlikely crossplay is possible for custom games.
@dartbtw470 Ok, so from what I've gathered from different vids:
1. Most likely no. There are minor differences in the platforms' gameplay that make it impossible (slightly modified abilities 6:32 , focus mode instead of ads, aim assist, etc.)
2. Also no. The PC game and console game are fundamentally different, both in gameplay and in controls. It would be inconsistent and hard to implement.
3. Also no way, they mentioned they are aiming for PC and console to be as similar as possible. It is the same game after all, not like League of Legends Wild Rift is heavily modified from normal league. Maybe they will have unique skins, but even those I highly doubt will be made exclusive. They want every player to be able to buy skins after all. It's almost the game's entire income.
4. Possibly. They tried it with Wild Rift but it didn't work. People simply would rather watch regular league. I think the same thing would happen with Valorant, but they have a chance to do it with the gaps in the regular VCT schedule.
5. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure implementing gyro controls would be a disaster. Using it would be so exhausting, (not to mention unintuitive and stressing on the wrists) and I don't think ANYONE wants to use that much energy constantly aiming for 30+ mins straight.
6. This is actually pretty likely. Plenty of games allow you to use pro controllers that have extra mappable buttons for inputs. I believe you are referring to those like the XBOX Elite controller or third party controllers that have grip buttons and things. Also, I do wonder if they will only allow third party controllers that are verified for XBOX and PlayStation. (You know, the ones that say "Designed for XBOX" or something)

I mean skins get transported over so I don't see why sprays, titles, player cards and gun buddy's wouldn't transfer over too.

Question on 6:00, since riot wants the game to be a PURE console game with controller only and no pc input. There are other games that are able to use pc inputs such as cod and fortnite. (But as I did some research Fortnite had some bad input delay and for cod I’m guessing the same.) Hopefully riot makes the game controller only then having a kb&m to console. Looks great
My guess is their anticheat will be focused on looking for circular motions rather than straight motions that a mouse would give? Thats my only assumption. Either way I hope they have a really good anticheat for controller checking OR make it very easy and supportive for keyboard and mouse. I hate those games that make it very difficult to get mouse and keyboard inputs but yet the advantages is so extreme. Those games always suck

Here is my idea on how to fix the tumbstick aiming:
an idea to turn is using two keys (i have no idea what should be deafult) to turn a certan degree to respective side for respective keybind, you will find this setting either under the controls tab (here we have to options 1. to have it agent customaizable 2. making it only possible to have a certain degree for all agents). Either its set to always turn 45 or maybe 90 degrees per turn, but if riot wanna go slightly deeper with this they can have a choosing tab to choose between some common degrees, and if you want to go even further with this feature/setting you can just write and set ur own degree to turn,for balancing reasons this has to be capped to a certain degree beacause over maybe 130 degrees per turn its easy to dodge flashes
if you want it REALLY simplistic you can just have this an unchangable setting so the only thiing you can "change" is the binding to your key.
I have almost not set a single exact number here since im not so familiar with esactly degrees in my head and on top of that, this is just an idea that came to mind beacause alot of other games have a similar feature.

If I'm playing console and hear some 6 year old on his switch in vc, I am actually gonna cry.
My question is whether movement in the game is locked to eight directions like on PC or if it's full 360 degrees of movement.
Also side tangent the lack of Gyro on Xbox controllers is honestly becoming frustrating and crippling competitive PC fps games trying to make it to console because of competitive integrity. It feels like such a weird stance for Microsoft to take considering both the Switch and Playstation have had gyro aiming for a while now. The focus aim solution is a nice compromise but TF2 youtuber Solarlight really shows that the best way to aim on a controller is with gyro aim.

It’s gonna be like the PC version when it came out. So pretty much what’s gonna happen is the beta will release on June 14th and it WILL NOT have an end date UNTIL the devs think the game is stable enough to then release it after what we can assume will be a small downtime (a week maybe). Only then will we know really.

i shouldn’t be surprised given riot hasn’t implemented controller support in their games since… ever, but i really dislike the lack of gyro. that alone would make it far easier to go for a uniform balance process across platforms due to the much better flicking while negating the need for aim assist

Only problem with this is xbox would end up in its own bubble due to lacking gyroscope unfortunately, but it absolutely should be added for playstation users.

They should also include a setting where you cna fight against PC players; this is where kbm support with activate. Adding on that, it should also be included in all of the things like the range, tutorial, etc.

Hey keeoh! Quick question. When you talked about the “focus mode” for the aiming when you said you gotta lean in on it do you mean you have to press down you aiming key in order for it to work. For example use the button r3 to activate focus mode. Sorry if this doesn’t make any sense

As an extremely devoted longtime Valorant player, I'm losing taith in Riot Games. There's zero development on things people actually want. More consistent gunplay, larger map pool, more game modes, ability to select maps, 2v2, replay, more content... there are a dozen things which should be focused on before console and mobile.
I hate to be negative but don’t you think they should make the game experience better for the audience who spent 4 years making their game popular?

I Think you should be able to eneble cross play for custom games
it would be nice if they went the OW route. You could maybe only have crossplay on unrated and/or swiftplay, but no rank crossplay.
Maybe a cross play version of a core game mode like swift play or unrated but unfortunately a lot of the game itself is different to fit console

Does the lock-on feature for aim assist still work for behind walls if the opponent is revealed by Cypher tripwire or Sova sonar arrow?
After playing the first year valorant dropped with a controller through rewasd giving me aim assist would have made me op. I got to diamond 1 against KbM without it this almost makes me want to play again
