I needed a refresher course bc my daughter and I are going to be making some summer ankles. The safety pin hack is genius and so much easier and messing around with tape or a clip board. Thanks so much! ❤
I am a beginner and this is just...BRILLIANT!!! Thank you very much for sharing...i was thinking of a way to reduce the number of knots i was making in my practice pieces. I was just scrolling and your video just popped up without me searching for it.
Ive never liked having my end anchored. I just hold it up in the air. I hope to learn something today, ive tied 10 necklaces this weekend and am looking to learn anything i can to improve before i figure out how to open an etsy store.
very interesting! it’s too willy nilly for me if i hold it. my knots come out a lot more uniform if i anchor it. hope this helped you learn a few new things! ☮️💙🎶
I either use a piece of tape to keep it stiff and try to get it through the hole or I use a little bit of elmers glue on the end of the string and let it dry, I particularly like the glue when there are two or more strings cause you can twist them together with the glue on them and basically make them one string. Hope that helps! ☺️☮️💙🎶
I wish you showed how you close the necklace to wear because I have never seen anything like this. Its beautiful. I am learning to make hemp necklaces and would love to see more patterns!
I kind of do but I understand where it could get lost in translation. You will want to make your loop just slightly bigger than the bead you are wanting to use to close the ends together. Then on the other side with the bead you will connect the bead like it is shown 😊 this is shown and somewhat explained in the beginning and end of the video, hopefully that helps 😊☮️💙🎶
The way you ended it though,. If you pull on the rope with the bead on it it pulls out of the necklace. I only did 5 stitches and that wasn't enough to keep the loop in place. How do you prevent this. More stitches?
Yes definitely more than five stitches. I usually do about ten if I can that way it gives it enough room to hold onto that string. I also work the last stitches as tight as I can to prevent that from happening! ☮️💙🎶
Very. Ice how you did this but I'd like to see it closer, maybe even slower making half the necklace. I don't understand how to twist. Is it all the same knotting.
could you explain why, at the start, a 3rd string (11 inch) is used to tie the knot around the other two length cords? can you just use the two lengths to make a knot? i have add and a lot of tutorials are really hard for me to follow.
Yes I meant to say an 11 foot piece of hemp folded in half for knotting. It takes quite a lot of hemp to make a whole necklace. I also don’t switch out the pieces that I am using to knit, I use the same piece all the way through. ☮️💙🎶

Ty so much for this!! ❤
😊Exellent!!!!!
Excellent video
Super cute 👍
Cool video. Maybe it’s just me but that seems so confusing. I guess I learn by doing.
Do you have any advise on how to stop the ends from fraying? Just to make it easier to add the beads if that hole is on the smaller side?
I either use a piece of tape to keep it stiff and try to get it through the hole or I use a little bit of elmers glue on the end of the string and let it dry, I particularly like the glue when there are two or more strings cause you can twist them together with the glue on them and basically make them one string. @@TheCraftNut thanks a bunch the glue works great!

I’m trying to connect my necklaces but they are in individual pieces. For a dangling layered crystal necklace. Thank you.
Are you needing help with anything? Just confused as to what’s going on?? Would love to help! 😊☮️💙🎶
Interesting 👍👍👍
Hello! What size string and bead is that? I ordered 1mm hemp and 8mm beads. Is that what you use?
I honestly am not sure I’m sorry I just use what I have on hand most times ☮️💙🎶
could you explain why, at the start, a 3rd string (11 inch) is used to tie the knot around the other two length cords? can you just use the two lengths to make a knot? i have add and a lot of tutorials are really hard for me to follow.
There are four string because you need two to tie and two to tie around ☮️💙🎶
@@TheCraftNut Hello. What are the measurement of the 2 string? TIA
Very nice thanks
🙏☮️💙🎶
Question how do you know how much to use I wanna make like a 21inch necklace?
I tend to use 2-3 times as much as I am making it long. So I would use 42-63 inches
What size bead is used for the end of necklace?
You can use what ever size bead you would like ☺️☮️💙🎶
Me at 2:01 HOLY S**** I DID IT !!
Whoot whoot!!!! 💃🎶
@@TheCraftNut wait till you see my finished necklace(s)!!!
Can’t wait!! Tag me on Instagram!! 😍☮️💙🎶
Did you mean to say an 11 FOOT knotting piece of vine? I am new to this but that is confusing? Did you mean 11 inches?
Yes I meant to say an 11 foot piece of hemp folded in half for knotting. It takes quite a lot of hemp to make a whole necklace. I also don’t switch out the pieces that I am using to knit, I use the same piece all the way through. ☮️💙🎶
