What a wonderful interview. I felt like it made me know Robin even more. I loved hearing his voice. Robin was far more than what we saw on stage. God rest your beautiful soul Robin. You're missed terribly.
Robin was so intelligent, interesting and gifted. You can see it all through this interview . The world is not as bright because of his absence. What an unforgettable footprint he left the world and his family. So very glad he shared it.
Robin as a human being did everything he wanted to do before he died! If you go thru his life as singer his life was so inspiring and everything he did before his departure from this world he was very aware to do it and my God if he was so smart....as singer, composer and historian...he read every book about history and specific England...he didn’t forgot ....love, love this interview with Leslie Philips! Beautiful soul! Rest In Peace my dear Robin!
I truly agree with your comment...they're great man . Robin was so lovely ,talent and amazing .he was a gifted man ...miss him so much ..RIP. Robin Gibb .❤❤❤❤
If you find yourself in London check out the memorial to Bomber Command. It is between Buckingham Palace and High Park. Robin spent a lot of his time working to get this done.
I love watching this interview. Leslie is gone now also but this was so interesting about their lives, careers, marriages etc. Robin knew so much about so many things. Very intelligent man. I miss him in this world.
This is a wonderful conversation. Both were so open about talking about feelings and experiences. It's like watching old friends having a chat. Robin was a lovely broad-minded and brilliant man. Such a loss to his family and those of us who so appreciate his considerable talents.
What a true" TREASURE" Robin was. No wonder God called him home so early. He shared him with the world and then it was his time to bask in the glory of this intelligent talented man.
Leslie just turned 97 years old! Wish him very well at his age and Robin is missed so much! Hard to believe this interview is nearly 10 years old, it feels like it could have been made today still.
Robin really can't fail to surprise me every time I watch something about him, just like this one, he's such an eloquent interviewer...aside from that ,he's a great historian and like an expert tour guide... he's also a very effective comedian,he's great thoughts worth imparting to the next generation.
Oh it breaks my heart to see him like this with a toupee and later when he sang with the soldiers and was dying from cancer was gut wrenching. He was such a tremendous talent with an angelic voice.
Same here. I just can't help but say, "Oh poor Robin! He looks so very sick!" But also, he was very strong. Losing his twin and battling colorectal cancer didn't stop him from getting everything he wanted to accomplish done!
I don't think he was ever able to recover from that shock, which he became very weakened by both in spirit and physically. Must be incredibly hard to lose your other half, which you have spent so much with and shared everything. May they both rest in peace, thank you for the wonderful music!
One thing is for certain- no matter what you ask Robin, he always knew what time it was. Very smart- beautiful dynamic voice- very much loved and missed!🧔🏻💜🎤🐝🌹
Can tell that Robin respects and feels very comfortable with Leslie in this interview. Leslie delves quite a bit deeper in his past than Robin, but then Robin wasn't known to be one to actually bear his soul.☺ Anyways, Robin seemed to be enjoying this interview, and he appears very relaxed!

I understand how Robin feels losing his brother. He expressed my feelings exactly. I never actually got over the death of my brother, or had closure like people expect you to have. I did just what he did, and settled into the feeling that my brother was out there somewhere and one day he'd be back. I never went to my brother's grave. It's too final. Lucky me though, I had Robin's gorgeous singing to ease the pain of that 'life sentence' as he said. Robin is just THE BEST. And that smile he's got... wow. Love you forever Robin. x
Poor Robin. I absolutely hate that he lost his twin. It seems he was not ever really 'Robin' again after Mo's death. Robin was not one to wear his heart on his sleeve or to bear his soul on very private emotional matters. He tried a few times to explain what losing Mo felt like. I think when he used the term*life sentence* he was not exaggerating in the least. Robin stated that "No one else could know Maurice the way that I knew him." When asked what he missed most about Mo, Robin said he missed everything. He said, I knew and loved him as a boy and growing up together. I knew and loved him thru-out all the years of our lives. Of course I am paraphrasing here, but that's the essence of it. Like I said, ....Poor Robin.💔
@@gloriamaryhaywood2217 Yes, poor angel. Losing my brother was bad, but losing a twin is something different altogether. You're right, it's not an exaggeration to say life sentence. Everything Robin says about Mo was exactly how I felt. There's just no way to fully escape the pain, it waxes and wains throughout your life. I'm so glad he kept singing. I know it wasn't totally the same for him, but I'm sure it was better than not. I think it helped him as well as everyone who loved him. He's helped a lot of his fans through a lot of hard times with his gorgeous voice and sweet personality. x

Beautiful historic home. Love the chess set on the table. Very elaborate. Questions Robin posed I suspect are questions that can also apply to himself, isolation, regrets, not relating to others who were different, poverty, traumas, family relationships, loneliness, even the abysmal quality of entertainment due to technology and 15 minute fame bestowed on a lot of talentless people. The Gibbs had to work at their craft for decades so that must have been galling. Laughed at the remark about people coming up to him with gestures or remarks as if they think they were the first person to do so. His remarks about the Hither Green train crash shows how deeply he was affected by that to his final days as was the loss of his twin. Always been mesmerized by Robins beautifully sculptured hands!!😘
🥀Amazing interview between two of most wise's people I've ever heard. Robin will always have a place in my heart. The Gent he was talking with was full of knowledge but he went through hell at a early age at that school. I'm glad Robin Gibbs had a good time talking to him. I remember that song "MacArthur Park since I was a child I've always loved it. 🥀☝️🥀
This interview was very insightful!
Robin I love ❤was so intelligent love ..💔😢🕊❤❤
Great interview
How did I just happen across this? What a charming conversation...
WOW! I almost feel guilty listening to this. Its like I am overhearing 2 old friends having a catchup over coffee.
This is a brilliant conversation and I had no idea it existed.
Obin siempre será un gran cantante, compositor, era muy culto y elegante. Sir Robin, primer caballero de la corona británica. Miss you cery much Robin 😢😢😢😢
Thank you for putting this up. I knew it existed, but it wasn't at their website. Very interesting!
You're welcome
I saw this intervieuw just recently. I was staunished by the way their talking was about real life as a fameus person. Never did see how fame disconect the personality life.... I really believed and felt what they was talking about... Sometimes it feit a little bit akward to share these very personal talking and moments of the both.... marvellous, estonishing and well done . Thanks for sharing❤

A fascinating and deep conversation. Wonderful.
Sweet Robin - I miss you so much, Morris. You were my guy! RIP!
At 14:20 when Leslie says "Just for company you know, its disgusting but I LOVE it!" I suddenly imagined Freddie Mercury as an old man saying the same thing in that same cheeky way!
Alguém tem essa entrevista em português? Queria tanto 😢,amo Robin em todos os sentidos ❤
Robin is so much like John Lennon when he gets emphatic and seemingly desperate to explain himself. It’s uncanny.
Robin reminds me of John Lennon sometimes too. I've even thought Robin's second wife, Dina, looks a bit like Johns first wife, Cynthia.
Love Robin Gibb ❤️
Brilliant interview, interesting 🧐
