Thanks for the comment - We use just sin, cos, tan when we are working out unknown side lengths, and inverse to work out angles. This is because the algorithm to work out one is the exact inverse of the algorithm to work out the other. Truth be told I used to be unsure which is which after long periods of not using trig, so I'd look at the answer that comes out and see if it is realistic. If not I use the inverse!
I am a machinist. I use trig every day to figure angles and distances on blueprints to machine aircraft parts. Manufacturing anything using a blueprint, trig is a must.
awesome video, you are great at explaining the steps in a way that makes it easy to understand and thanks you you i feel confident to take my geometry test.
The bob ross of trigonometry, I wish you had been my maths teacher, dont know if it's your voice or the diagrams but rarther than hearing a÷b +d - bla bla bla and switching off i stayed with it and now i get it, the some old hags and 6 3 = ÷ 2 All helped At 52 i am working out trig thanks to you something i couldn't do at school.
@tecmath do we always have to use the inverse when working out sin cos & tan's? im just asking cuz im not sure why make calc with the button Sin Cos Tan the main buttons but not the inverse button for Sin Cos Tan be the main ones? but i learn something useful for my robotics project so i thank you ! also So/h, Ca/h & To/a are this set rules? so when i see a problem such as A/H i would know that this is a Cos-1 function or equation? or can this parameters be swapped around depending on the problem at hand ?
OK look I ain't no maths sensei but I do know a little. You only use the inverse sin/cos/tan buttons to calculate theta (angles) when your calculating lengths than the normal SCT buttons are fine. Hope I helped you

Just discovered your channel. Brilliant! Great tips taught in an easy manner. Thank you very much. Subscribed!!!
This is soooooooooo easy to understand dude! Thank you so much! You're a genius!!
this is soooooooooooooo good
Thanks so much! I'm in grade 9, taking an IB grade 10 math course and I couldn't understand trig but after watching your video it all makes sense now!
You make things so much more easier when in school I find it difficult. Great teacher!
You made my day so much easier thanks.
Thank you for your simple but explicit lesson. You helped my daughter understand how to find unknown angles. God bless and Happy Holidays!!

Had an exam, 2 videos explain what the teacher failed to do over weeks, Thanks!
this video literally saved my math final exams
Thanks for your help. Really enjoy the videos
these videos has really helped me, i have a test tomorrow and these are perfect thank you !!
Just remember SOH CAH TOA
awesome video, you are great at explaining the steps in a way that makes it easy to understand and thanks you you i feel confident to take my geometry test.
Thanks your video was awesome finding unknown sides and unknown angles :)
Hi. You explain it really clearly. Thank you. Paul.
thank you so much @tecmath you have helped me so much!!!! much appreciation pal
Hi, Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You made it so simple to understand.
So greatly appreciated !!!!
very good stuff. well done
thanks man i have a test on this tomorrow and this really helps
great stuff
Lovin' the vids. Much thanks to you.
Thanks you are a life saver!
more than help bro, thanks
Enjoyed this video, informative with a dash of good humour. Why do you have to inverse the calculation though? Thanks
The bob ross of trigonometry,

All helped
At 52 i am working out trig thanks to you something i couldn't do at school.
Still useful in 2021, even though I am only in year 8, this proved to help a lot.
Thanks you really helped
Lol relearning this for a metal fabrications course and I was like yea I'm getting it! Then he didnt add a value to x and Im over here trippin haha
I want to learn how to find the length of the hypotenuse using. I need it for roof framing job. Is there a video on that?
Thank you.
Thank you!
Thank you!!!!!!!
So So helpful
Awesome vids, thanks! :)
nice solution
Could you give me an example of the practical use of trig aside from perhaps roof rafters
cool video helped a lot
so good thanks man
I thank you for teaching me the ways of trigger nomad, I mean trignometry
Thank you!
Thank you.

How do you do this on a regular calculator
You can't
Using a Scientific Calculator for the very first time is quite confusing! ;-0
better than all my teachers at my school
Why is the (trick) '6 = 3/2' NOT used in this video, please? But it was used in the previous tutorial?!
i dont have inverse im my calculator..how can i do to calculate angels q
how can i slove this without using the calulator ?
this is not a calulator it's a calculator
HOW DO YOU KNOW WEATHER TO DIVIDE OR MULTIPLY?
so if its like number/x you divide and if you have x/number you times sorry for the late reply
hi, silly question but why is it 8/17 and not 17/8
How do you know whether to INVERT the answer (ie. multiply by 'minus 1') or to NOT invert, please?
monsterjazzlicks if you are trying to find an unknown angle u use the invert sign but if your finding a side you just use it normally
*****
Cheers, that helps mate ;-)
Np bro
You shaved me from failing my exam ....Ty
6:38 is my life
hello mr rouse
thank you i can now sleep at night ,
can we do this without the calculator
+Kevin I was wondering the same thing
You can, just you would need to memorize the entire trig table before you can even attempt to.
I got 27.97 for the inverse? Help!
byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
thx
reply
go to 8.21 he gets mixed up with the opposite and adjacent
