The Honda Amaze rated two stars for adult and zero stars for child occupant safety

- The Honda amaze was tested under the previous Global NCAP protocols achieving four stars for adult and 1 star for child occupant protection.
The model was reassessed under the current and more stringent protocols resulting in two stars for adult and zero stars for child occupant protection. Child protection showed head contact in the frontal impact for both dummies, high loadings in the chest and neck of the three year old child and ejection risk in the 1.5 years old dummies. The lack of three point belts in all seating positions and passenger airbags disconnection switch as well as the failure of some CRSs in installation explain the zero stars for child occupant protection.
Adult protection scored low because of lack of optional side head protection, driver only Seat Belt Reminder (SBR) and ESC is not standard.

2 stars have been deducted because it has no ESP and 6 airbags and SBR for all seats as standard otherwise clearly it is 4 stars worthy. All of this will be solved in the Facelift later this year.
importantly, autocar said it was remarked "can withstand higher loads" and "body stable".
it still scored higher than carens which got 3 stars!!
Let's hope so. Lets hope they also make the car good, knowing honda they're gonna do bare minimum here in my country.

Verna scored scored 27/34 which means its a 5 star car without features like ESP,6 Airbags,3 point seatbelts for all passengers etc..

Honda amaze is a potential car for better safety.....it has a stanle body shell....but due to absence of certain essential safety features it missed on 4 star
Amaze is good car and strong build
ater seeing new guidlines updated in globalncap now even they start to test india's safest car right now also they will get 2 or 3 stars out of 5.
Already they have tested new nexon, new harrier and new Xuv 700, new VW and skoda SUV all got 5 stars

Amaze is getting discontinued thi year and same way you tested City 4th Gen which was on the way of discontinuation when 5th Gen was available in the indian market..5th gen would have scored 5 star rating but for 5 star rating manufacturer must sponsor the tested..So it's Honda's mistake also for not sponsoring the test.

2 Stars at best as they provide only 2 air bags in the base variant (or in all variants).
A car may have any number of stars but if the person driving it is reckless , believes in dangerous driving , does not follow lane discipline , considers the road as his ancestral property where others are intruders then he is going to reduce these stars for whatever they are worth to zero. Safe driving is more important than these number of stars which are given under controlled conditions at 64kmph !

it doesn't work that way.. old volvo models did not have esp and more airbag still there were very very lesser deaths.. norms does not control how much damage a person will have for every situation
Don't know how many of you noticed this is not the 2021 facelifted amaze, most likely this crash test clip is the same as the previous crash test clip of the south African version of Honda Amaze, hence no new test has been done, its just to attract people to suvs in this price range and not in proper classy sedans.
Haha alto scoring the same 2 stars despite having less safety features is a good effort for maruti and hope they shine from now 😊

How did Amaze with 27.85 points get 2 stars and Carens with 22 points get 3 stars for adult safety? Do different body types have different star ratings?
Amaze does not have ESC, ESC is mandatory in new protocols. Without esc maximum score can be 2 stars only, thats why Alto k10 also got only 2 stars even tho it should have got 3 stars.

I can understand that argument if it were For ScorpioNs ANCAP case which was purely due to negligence, but for Amaze's part, its already going to get Discountinued soon, so Honda didn't care enough to update it with ESC. 27/34 points means it could have got 5 stars with ESC

I own amaze 2023 vx cvt.. It has a nice build quality. I had an accident recently and all the members are safe. These norms does not give you a full picture
