Even if you avoid low sec gate camps, youre still not 100% safe in ded sites. I was in a site in low sec recently and was ganked at the site. The guy used D scan and found me without combat probes. Its super sad that most people who want to fight other players, will only fight ships that cant fight back rather than going and fightimg other pvp fit ships.
He would have had to use combats to find you mate. D scan can show where you are but doesn't give warpable pings. But yea either way, once your undocked, your a target. Cheers for watching mate.
@zaqq must have been on d scan for a literal second then. Tbh, I think you shouldn't be allowed to be scanned down in a DED site. Being attacked in low or null is one thing, but being forced to fight a pvp ship without a pvp fit ship is just bad game design. Obviously, I doubt it will ever get changes, though.
@zaqq also, I just wanted to say that I just watched your astero vid too. The T2 cov ops explo ships actually have more scan strength than the astero. It's much cheaper, too. You can easily make well over a billion a day doing explo.

@zaqq Yeah, I think the astero one was about the implants. I felt like it was worth mentioning, though, because it was mostly about scanning strength, and it would have been higher in a cov ops. Though, I guess that may depend on your skills too. You may well have had more with the astero if your skills weren't high enough. It would be interesting to see if you can find a ghost site in a wormhole and see how well you can scan it down, too. Wormhole ghost sites can drop the high ascendancy bpc that sells for several billion. I believe the rarest site in holes is the silent battlefield, too. There's also the RSS probes too which are better than sisters. I'm not sure if you had those on your ship at the time, though. Fun experiments would be interesting to see, like how high you could get combat scanning with the navy explo ships, etc. Rip your wallet, lol. Cov ops can fit interdiction nullifiers, too, which the see ships can't if you're interested in doing more explo.

Do the EDENCOM ships hit drones in PvP?
They hit everything mate aye. Although its a turret it uses the missile mechanics for damage.
