one thing i like about this clip. THANK YOU for being able to fight back from an interference. I'm sorry, its a breath of fresh air to see someone able to fight back from someone who interferes. After seeing the Nexus constantly winning by interference, after seeing Immortal win by interference. Its seriously... feels good to see someone being able to fight back. Thanks for making my day!
As big as AJ Styles already was still....you know you've made it when the Nature Boy slaps you across the face. That's the ultimate indication that you've made it to the big time. If it's not then i don't know what is.
Worst point of AJ's entire wrestling career: Interacting with, working with, and imitating Ric Flair in TNA. AJ deserved way better than this bullshit with Ric Flair at the time. It's not as if washed up oldies like Flair and Hogan were really moving the numbers up in TNA to begin with.
Meanwhile in Heaven.... Angel: Uh God? That wrestler is calling himself God again. God: Is he drunk? Angel: He works for tna. God: So that's a yes. Write it off and let me know when the next gen of Pokemon gets released. Later with the release of the newer games... God: Verily I say unto you and all my children. Angels and Humans. I love you all. BUT MY TYRANITAR WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!
Flair held the World Titles in all 3 of those promotions, and I want to say he held the Word Title in AWA as well. Plus, titles from numerous Indy promotions.
There is only one reason why Flair's career in TNA was a bust. Just one. TNA made him be something he built huge part of his career around not being - Hulk Hogan's lackey. It was a huge mistake from the start. And, of course, all of us who used to be WCW fans never bought into his sudden friendship with Eric Bischoff. WCW fans know very well there has always been real-life heat between Flair and Bischoff dating back to Bischoff suspending Flair from WCW in 1998, which Flair never forgave him for. If Flair's sudden friendship with Hogan did make some kind of wierd sense, Flair and Bischoff being friends... Never going to happen in million years. I know, of course, it was all a storyline and none of it was real, but they could have done it and played it differently and better. Immortal and Fortune joining together was also a huge mistake. If I was TNA booker back than, I would place Flair at the helm of TNA young guys going against Immortal. I know it would be like WCW vs. NWO once again, but it could have worked out. As far as AJ and Fortune turning on Immortal... We all know now it was never meant to happen. Originally, Sting, Angle and Kevin Nash were meant to bring back Main Event Mafia as faces to battle Immortal and Fortune. It is well known fact that Scott Steiner was re-signed by TNA for that purpose. However, departures of Booker T and Kevin Nash for WWE in January 2011, just days after Nash was also re-signed by TNA, made them change their plans. It was only after that that TNA decided to turn Fortune faces and have them turn on Immortal. Excellent idea that came way too late.
mr reigns I really don't understand how people are actually saying TNA now, or should I say IMPACT Wrestling, is actually great. They couldn't be more wrong
Flair should be grateful TNA's ratings are whey they are. It means a lot of people actually think he is retired after the glorious mania exit and are shocked that he is wrestling if they find out. TNA's failings are perhaps the gain of the Flair legacy. Let's face it, it is embarrassing when Flair is in the ring with a Matt Morgan and while interesting to watch ultimately sad.
@LatinoBadass I'm glad to hear Flair didn't drop dead in the ring after wrestling Sting. The answer to your first question is yes. He will wrestle for ever, from time to time, until it is physically impossible for him to do so. It's a question of what more painful for Flair: being out of the spotlight or a life of pain suffered from a serious injury which could very well happen. Maybe Flair is past caring about injuries and is blinded by the spotlight. I am now going to watch Flair v Sting.
@@shaqyardie8105 I feel when we look up the word retirement in the dictionary there should be mention of Flair! How many retirements now haha! I think Flair is blinded by the spotlight! WOOOO!
Haha that comment above: "Hogan is fine he has been keeping out of the ring as far as I have been told". Didn't last too long then! It's interesting watching Hogan as one of many who have only seem him as an old man in the ring. Flair and Hogan do not impact with younger viewers and should be removed from main event material. They would be better in a coaching role behind the scenes.
@ahmad3652 he can stick to being manager...he can really make superstars...I mean AJ mic skills IMPROVED when AJ sticked around with him...Ric Flair is one of the greatest at cutting promo too so he can cut promos cause he sure hell is entertaining
Unless that guy thought I was saying TNA had thrust ex WWE main eventers into the TNA main event. And he says he has only seen 3: Cena, Miz and Orton. Well I didn't say that anyway. Maybe TNA have far too many storylines. They need to simply matters a little.
At 2:18 you can see the blade taped to the bottom of Flair's finger as he holds his finger in the air. It's sad for Flair, his routine is about as predictable Hogan's. Hogan: Bleed, Big Boot, Leg drop Flair: Bleed, Get suit ripped off, Self-inflicted faceplant.
His entrance in the ring is 'The Man'. Let's be realistic it should really be 'The Old Man' and he should carry a walking stick. To be the old man you have to beat the old man.
dont doubt flair you may say it seems cheap but clothes rip easy and i seriously wouldnt doubt flair to have a few overly priced suits that he doesnt need anymore and so he can get them ripped and be like whatever haha
what does "Body Weight" got to do with anything i'm talking about the cheap fabric material in these so call "Expensive Suits" that ric flair claims that he wears
Wow God v Flair. Sounds like this would headline Bound for Glory if they could. People would complain that TNA was pushing God at the expense of the younger guys haha!
ChrisTrance what a match it will be...flair vs God...just make sure it is not a no dq match or else, God will strike fire and lightning on ric flair and it will end up in a squash match...
@JayR4ever rchris36 here not Rchris. I'll reply anyway. You say it isn't true that they were thrust into the main event. I can only go by what I as rchris36 said in my comment which was that TNA thrust WWE stars into the main event. There is nothing wrong with that when you think about it in theory. But they have this washed up tag which doesn't help TNA's image. The rest of your comment does not relate to my comment. I searched for a comment made by Rchris but couldn't find one.
TNA have sent out a message over the past 18 months. It is this: we sucked and WWE is better. Naturally as a consequence of this AJ Styles was trashed into the mid card and washed up WWE stars were thrust into the main event. TNA should have realized they had a very good product which just needed putting over, not squashed by Hogan and co. I guess they feel it's better to be a public visible disaster than an obscure perfect product.
Ric Flair said it best. AJ Styles, the franchise, MR. TNA. We want AJ!!! Sign AJ!!!
