Snorkeling Honolua Bay, Maui

- Snorkeling at Honolua Bay about 15 minutes north of Kaanapali, Maui. This was the best spot I found to snorkel near Kaanapali but the conditions can be very different from one day to the next depending on swell and weather conditions. The best snorkeling is out to the right (north) side of the bay where the coral extends far out and there are all sorts of fish and turtles.

Yeah there were plenty of different puffer fish. I brought my own snorkel gear but there are lots of shops that rent gear daily or weekly that are pretty cheap. We rented a couple wet suit tops for Rochelle and my Brother for 5$ a day to keep them warmer while snorkeling.

Great color on your movie did you have a light on your camera of was it a very clear sunny day???
It was just nice and clear :) though at times I use a shallow water filter over my GoPro lens.

I was using my GoPro hero2 on this excursion. I was just doing s lot of snorkeling and swimming down deeper (free diving) at times. Then I edited my video to mostly show shots while I was under.
