This will make it worse! Funko tried this and bots will kick you out or jump in front of you, I know from front hand experience! They should've just done the human verification page. Ebay here we come
@@gammajay34 yess they would of been the way better way of doing it
Human verification is getting easier and easier to beat with AI
Bots will just adjust to this new system. Sorry but if you think you’re gonna win against a bot, keep dreaming. Pokémon need to pump out the supply to meet/outweigh the demand that’s the only proven solution.
@@EtherealPhantasm wow that makes sense crazy
Or just actually care about consumers and loyal fanbase and take care of the bots. If they really wanted to they could but that means spending time and money to lose money? They could care less it's all systems in place to benefit them not us.
Let’s be real the bots aren’t what is chewing up supply. It is the sheer volume of people trying to get supply. If there are 1 million people awaiting at their computers when these things drop and there’s only 20,000 units to be sold to over 1 million people of course it’s gonna disappear in seconds the bots don’t even play a factor anymore. This is pure Scarcity and supply and demand issues. The online queue system will help with whatever bots there are, but I think people are in for a rude awakening when they realize that the bots are not the issue. It is 100% natural demand scarcity.
I agree. I browsed around for 10 min on the site when Journey together pre order drop. Maybe I was there at the right time but I took my time made my purchase hand entered my info and completed my purchase with no problem. But it did crash few moments after. So piggybacking on your statement its just the sheer amount people flooding in as soon as they found out the product went live that caused the crash. If it were bots I wouldn't even had a chance.
It will also create MORE FOMO!
@Charliee-B yess it definitely will it seems
People are over-exaggerating the traffic bots produce. Bots are the first people to enter the site and buy the product. Anyone that got the alert early knows they had a solid 20~ minutes to buy without issues. The issues with the site were from ORGANIC traffic. This change will allow people to MAYBE secure product when there's a lot of organic traffic.
I'm actually not too well versed on how bots can deal with site-wide traffic issues. If they operate the browser headlessly (without actually loading the user interface of the web site), I imagine less resources would need to be loaded so when a site is very laggy, the only people benefitting would be bots?
Regardless, this change, imo, is only beneficial for humans. This also doesn't even include bots not having this new page added to their flow, thus breaking the bot.
@@khurram3955 yess you got some good points let’s hope it works out for everyone 😭😭
This will be interesting 🤔
@@iexqo-gaming5760 definitely will be
This will not work flipping stupid just spend more money getting better servers 🙄
@Charliee-B yess this will be rough
I dont think you truly understand what youre saying. A ddos attack is when a website is flooded with repeated connection attempts. The whole community of 1 million (Random gyess but not outlandish) people all clicking 10x refresh a second is literally a hardcore ddos attack of the highest degree. Very few websites ever deal with anything like this. This system has been in place in japan and works well for them.
I’m worried that the bots will get in line instantly and that I’ll have to wait for all the bots to buyout all the product before I’m able to get in
@@frogartti it seems everyone else is having the Same concerns 🥲🥲
I swear the people who work at pokemon center have the same amount of brain cells my cat has when hes pooping.
@@sandshrewtcgso specific 🤣
@@sandshrewtcg yoo 😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😂🎯

Just like Magic secret lair queuing system, it can be bypassed.
I don't know how well the system will work and everyone seems to be negative about it, but this is how they do it in Japan and some other hobby stores and those are mostly smooth.
A purchase limit plus a queue should theoretically give more chances to humans to buy things instead of just the bots buying to the limit then refreshing and buying more
@@TietraBun yess let’s hope it works out right
I haven't seen this yet, I have stayed logged in and don't close my open tab, dont refresh either and check everyday once. Everytime I do check it verifies me and then I'm in no problem.
I have seen this type of system before during the crypto miner hype, few of the sites used this and I remember sitting there for couple of hours in the wait screen and then you get in and the product is out of stock. They just need to print more and stop cutting distribution allocation and prioritizing big box store. I run a small online shop and always with every product try to stay at MSRP or below but now it’s getting impossible because we as shop owners online or lsg’s are not getting the product to be able to get in peoples hand ata decent cost. That’s where the issue is.
@@tcgvend-com I see everyone saying the same thing crazy
Just too much insider corruption and no integrity or morals with the people who own pokemon company. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" rings true for every big corporation it's sad.
I think some LGS are liying to their customers and actually getting more allocations then they imply. Part of the problem is that they're doing backdoor deals with these rip and shippers for a premium. The whole system is jacked up. Even if Pokémon ramps ups if they aren't already we will be given scraps while these stores get the pork from streamers and rip and shippers.
I like the queue idea. but would like them to add flash card and slider games to weed out real people from bots.
I noticed the pc etb for prismatic isnt ln the pc atm
@@The_Hoard422 hmm I seen it yesterday 🤔
So now someone could literally set up ques with bots.........
@@The_Hoard422 yess that is wild honestly didn’t really think about that
This will be like best buy online. Not a good thing
@@roysakic5475 😭why did you have to say that best buying is giving me nightmares. I haven’t gotten anything off of Best Buy
@Gottamitchemall They have insider workers taking stock off shelves marking it as "shelf display" or sold. I was refreshing best buy site one night and seen prismatic binders pop in stock and it said "in-store only" so I think oh perfect i will wake up early and head there. I get there as they open and manager said he cannot find any prismatic at all. Super sus and obvious insider stuff. So sad bro.
WTF just a short cut for BOTS!!!
Damn I’m taking my first L with this I know it
