I listened to the description and can't stop laughing.
Hhhhhhheeeee pppppllllaaaayyyyeeeedddd ddddd4444!!!!!
The "give me a sec" really got me
"The chat was more important than anything you were saying.". Go Karen! 😂
I love watching Ben laugh at chess moves so much. The joy of a teacher who has taught hundreds and been ignored by most of them 😂
Move 2 had me giggling
"That'll teach his coach" this video is packed with jokes, I'm here for it
I get the frustration of trying to be a chess coach, likely to kids who just want to play for fun and socializing, and their parents want you to magically make them better even if they don't want to learn.
I'd have the opposite problem, I'd be genuinely trying to learn, but it would take a lot of repetition for me to retain it, so that's also frustrating. But I've been watching Ben since his early St. Louis chess club lectures, so it's almost sort of marginally starting to sink in. Maybe. At least I remember all the rules. Play bishop f1. Never play f3/f6, always retreat, always repeat, knife f5, always sack the exchange, c4 is explosive, get your minor pieces out and castle, don't make random legal moves. Pat Buchanan, confusing the audience, gawking rabble. Vegan. Obviously, frankly. Delicious. Who's turn is it, cry like a grandmaster, it's never the fried liver, ooooh Perrier, you're too good but I'm three good. Mainly, etc.
I remember the time I crushed my opponent using nothing but references to the Simpsons.
Also that the answer is fries. And I used not to take Ben's rules seriously but I started using most of them unironically and it led to better chess.
Trying is the first step to failure.
Good, good.
The guy in the orange shirt keeps distracting Karen from the chat.
If all my opponents would play like this I would start every game with b3
After the story, move 2 was unexpectedly hilarious!
From there a lot of the moves for white were pretty intuitive based on each current position. So I can see where the high accuracy percentage comes from.
“Thanks for writing all that”😂
That was pretty good
Glad you suggested the slow-mo. Watched it live but it was still worth coming to UA-cam for that. Our hero in the game should check out the Chessable course "Starting out with 1. d4 by GM Ben Finegold"!
The opponent only blundered because he was so confused by 2. b3. He would have played good otherwise
2.b3! hilarious!
move 2 was much funnier than move 1
I definitely followed the instructions to the letter and I wasn't disappointed
he didn't get yet that d4 is Poorman's Nf3
This video was amazing
Always a good time
I love it how they all see Hikaru crushing opponents with 1.b3 in bullet and they all think it's a great move. To be fair though, 2.b3 was hilarious!!
Bro you need to make recaps, seriously you analyzing games is the best
How can his opponent be so bad? He is rated 1700 and blunders pretty much every move
It doesn't make sense, I've played lower rated people that blunder less in blitz! Why can't I get these guys at 1500.
Well I'm 1800 and sometimes I play terrible games like these. Some people don't have consistency.
@@ninck8992 Like going online while drunk and playing a crap game before coming to your senses? I've done that.
@@alhfgsp exactly
Sometimes it’s exhaustion. Opponent could’ve already been playing for hours at 2am, and just literally can’t see threats anymore.
The true gigachad move.
Also 'Highly recommend rewatching 0:30 - 0:41 in .25x speed' I really love Ben & Karen. 😂
Im gonna have to refer this game to Kramnik 😅😅😅
Never play D4!... No wait that's not the thing Ben says.
I like b3 though…
this opponent is either not 1700 or is very drunk. I play 1300s who would stomp this noob
I’m eating a maple 🍁 bean 🫘 sandwich, it’s terrible for leaky gut syndrome, but I’m eating it anyway. Are there any equally worse moves in chess? 🎉❤🎉😅
😅
i don't see white winning and black losing the game. it looks like black is disrespecting and white acts like nothing happens and he just participates in playing what ever the hell this game was.
😅
