- The Commons Speaker is accused of engaging in "party politics" for allowing a vote on Labour's Gaza ceasefire motion, angering SNP members to walk out.
The motion was approved but only after Sir Lindsay Hoyle upended parliamentary convention by selecting Labour’s bid to amend an SNP motion on the Israel-Hamas war.
His decision sparked fury from the Conservative and SNP benches, who accused him of helping Sir Keir Starmer avoid another damaging revolt over the Middle East issue.
Jake says: "He's meant to be above all of this and not play for one team or the other".

He caved in to Starmer, to weak, he should go.
The Labour party has broken his puppet. An honourable man would have resigned, sadly honour and integrity are entirely missing from Parliament.
It’s all down to one word “integrity”. Without trust our political system is lost. Whilst the Speaker is a well seasoned politician, he still let us down. He should step down.
This presenter may be a Tory, but he isn’t conservative.
