The tow rope came in quite handy and his Toyota is a sweet ride. Just a little more ground clearance than you made all the difference on that last rut. Have you guys thought about getting a snorkel?
You guys seem to have some fun. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to hit some small trails with my Ranger. Don’t have any walk around videos of your Ranger? I know this is an older video but I’d like to see more of your stuff.
I've got 3 rigs. The first is an '08 Mazda B4000/ranger with 33's no lift soon to be straight axle swapped with custom flatbed. The second is a '96 Tahoe with 37's no lift, rear locker. Third is an '87 Toyota 4 runner project. It'll have either a 4cyl diesel, 2jz, or chevy 3.7 V6, one ton axles with lockers and 5.33 gears, np205 with doubler.
The old ranger killing it out there, Macedonia is a good climb the opposite way. Nice job on the videos! Do you guys get down there often, we try to get down there once or twice a month.
It’s probably our most visited place to go offroading. The ranger has been up Macedonia church a few times. It’s a muddy mess though so we try to stay away from it. Coming up sowers and then going back down Macedonia isn’t terrible.
Thanks for a fun and entertaining video! Your Ranger is a great example of what is possible with these often overlooked trucks. No offense really to Jeep, but in my opinion, these Rangers are a much better alternative to the Fiat Gladiators. I have seen several Jeeps broken down on the trail due to electrical issues and parts just not holding up. These Rangers however, seem to be much more sturdy and plentiful and inexpensive when compared to $60,000 machines. And there is great aftermarket support for them as well.
@@DnDSeekingAdventure yea I cranked it a bit, the front still sits about 1/2 inch lower then the rear. I put 1/4 spacer to keep it from rubbing the sway bar. Now it clears perfectly the rear also tucks perfectly no rubbing. It’s got a good amount of ground clearance and with 12.5 inch tires on a 7inch wide wheel I can drop the air pressure down to 10 without it coming off the bead. I live in idaho we have a lot of mountain trails supper tight. Drive down to Colorado on the snow to meet some friends and got stuck a lot lol need lockers. Still gets about 20mpg hw
Oi !, entendo algumas palavras, mas gosto muito dos vídeos de vocês,espero um dia poder fazer uma trail, tenho uma RAM ano 2000,tenho que mover peças ainda.
I drive a 97 Ranger I think I would have tried going through I would have tried staying on the high side of the ruts, but ya never know things do look different on vid then they do in person
If the ranger had a locker in the front or rear. We had gone for it. We just don’t want to drag the side of the ranger down a wall, so that last hole was a no go, locker or not. Your ranger is ttb?
@@kainebachman9749 it wasn’t built to hold a ton of weight. Just to hold lights, maybe some light items to clear up cabin space. We’ve only had it up there maybe 3 weeks? We are gonna do the 1 year test on it. See where it stands at the end of 1 year.
Wonderful! Thank you for the tip. We’ll have to apply it next time we are out on the trails. What ever would we do without these kinds of tips from total strangers. Thank you so much. You’re a lifesaver.
Looks like that yota was struggling. Looks like rangers are still king
They each had their moments of struggle. Yota is front and rear open diffs. Ranger has a worn out rear LSD. 😅

Jim, we have one. Have to finish other projects before we install the snorkel. Soon! Soon enough!

Sounds like you’ve got a lot of fun at your fingertips! 💪🏻
Yeah and it'll be enjoyable doing it all with my son who's finally starting to get into cars and trucks.
@@mattbobo8383 that’s gotta be such a great feeling. Which one is he gonna wheel?
I’m glad we ended up finding some nice trails and the scenery was so beautiful 👌🏻🙌🏻🤍
It was awesome! I’m sure there’s more down there that we’ve yet to discover. I’m looking forward to that.

Where did you get that roof rack? I’ve been trying to find one for my 08 ranger
The basket is from harbor freight and the other parts are custom made by ourselves.
How does it hold weight? You should make a video on it!

Im a fabricator so I just started designing a custom rack to be load bearing!
Would also love more detail on the rack!
Was thinking of getting the Princess Auto (Canadian HF) rack and mounting it to my ranger.
Disculpe, cuantas pulgadas tiene de lift kid ? Y que medidas son de neumaticos?

You gotta stay out of ruts tires not tall enough
