I believe that's semi frozen ground..that's why it's so slick and he's having traction problems. The ground has started to thaw on top but is still frozen below giving a thin layer of slippery muck on the surface but everything else is hard. Gorgeous big S A M E by the way..
I'd say more than likely it's a Company Rep doing the cultivating, rather than a self respecting farmer, proving just what the ' Big Tyres " will do in the most adverse conditions, having said that, the cultivator ( not sure what you'd call it, sort of a scarifier ) is doing a remarkable job of, not only a very messy paddock but the mess being made, while working the ground. Interesting... thanks.

March has been very wet in DK but the ground is drying up now in most places. With 3-4 more days with dry weather I think it will be dry enough to start preparing the fields for the spring crops.
