I grew up listening to Roger Bright and his orchestra as I am from the same town in Wisconsin -- New Glarus. So happy to see Roger and his band's legacy living on.
When listening to Polka Legacy radio station on internet I heard a Roger Bright song. So I looked for more Roger Bright songs and found this one. I was surprised by the second part of this performance, because the "Kufsteinlied" is a very well known song in Austria, where I live, and composed by the Austrian composer Karl Ganzer. It is part of the Austrian folk song tradition.
Oh yeah a lot of Midwestern American polka bands play all sorts of different German, Austrian and Swiss folk songs but, with different names or in english. Growing up I was always around this music and started looking into a lot of folk music from central Europe and was shocked that I already knew most of them 😂 Just by different names
I'm not sure why accordion, Bobby Lorenz is crossed off. Bobby is in the recording standing next to his son Scott. Great times! BTW - This Bob's daughter, Renee.

COŚ pięknego, a nie to co w Polsce, starsi ludzie w innych krajach potrafią się bawić i żyć życiem które jest im dane. A w Polsce tylko krzyże.
