The fact Skyrim is still "4M views on parody song" popular after 13 years is insane. Love it, but absolutely bonkers.
The song's a damn bop so I would not be surprised if a significant number of those views were not directly dependent of skyrim (I count for a bunch of those, having never played skyrim).
After all the chalkeaters have pulled a combined 24 million views of Bowsette across all three MVs, and Furrymon is at 9.5 between the MV and the album version.
Although I guess the starting point could also be playing *against* it, I assume that's why Rise Guys is so criminally underrated.

A meme song about naive optimism and blissful ignorance has no right to be anywhere near this good. This is absolutely mind-blowing, hence why it's on the "Ned's Mind Blowers" playlist now. It's also nice to know that even dragons can appreciate this thing.
Except it’s not REALLY about nieve optimism… sometimes, life is so bad the only way to cope is to choose happiness, even if you don’t have a good reason… many WWII soldiers and POWs had this same mindset. (Sorry, probably too dark for this video. 😅)

Well, it's a music video. They do know about music.
You can't imagine the cost of this actually being implemented in the final video considering all the struggles in the vusial production team in course of YEARS. One certain (main) guitarist put an end to ignorance to accuracy in terms of musical instruments in the video. I feel deep love to the animators who agreed to redoing it all for many times and making it so detailed at the end of the day. The video with its history indeed. Thanks for noticing

I never would have thought I'd see such a perfect song for skyrim till I saw Tobuscus's literal skyrim trailer... but this... *THIS* takes a whole new spot in my heart for such an amazing song about skyrim.
All it took was a guard from Whiterun to end the civil war between the empire and the stormcloak by holding a concert open to all residents of Skyrim. Finally, a good ending to the quest.

Whats weirder is the ones that guard the holds are always a higher level than you so their pretty tough at higher difficulties, but in the CW they're like 10 levels lower than you.
@@Zenoferrum If you just make some basic gear you can wipe out the hold guards easily. when I was still level 10 I made armor that gave me 2 trillion hp and my damage was so high it was shown as a negative number.
@@jonathangriffith4863 i play on legendary and don't abuse the restoration loop. The guards at level 65 (my current run-through) have over 2000 hp and hit for around 50-150+hp depending on the weapon they have. Without mods, CC or exploits the guards are pretty tough.

As an Elder Scrolls Skyrim player and fan. This is awesome and I love how the guards of Whiterun are just there playing the guitar. I also love the sweet roll jokes. What a classic with the arrows or must of been the wind, saying. The song is a banger🤩🔥🤣🥳🎧

@@anondabomb Definitely not air guitar. The "Torture Dance" is a common meme from anime and manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, specifically the fifth part, named "Golden Wind".
It's a super specific (and strange) dance that three of the main characters do to pass the time while they're torturing an enemy, and it's been parodied a LOT. Those funky moves? Unmistakably part of the Torture Dance.

I hadn't realized just how much I needed a definitive good ending to Skyrim in the form of a song. Well played Chalkeaters, well played.
Exactly how I felt listening to it as well. It almost feels like a sort of bitter sweet goodbye to the game. I’m sure ES 6 will be great when it finally releases, but nothing will recapture that magic of playing Skyrim for the first time as a young teen.
I love that Dragonborn design, especially when he was torture dancing. The emotive "metal brows" were also great.
It was pretty clever that he was doing the torture dance while locked in a jail cell.
I can absolutely see sheogorath doing something as crazy as an all out bloody battle turning into an impromptu musical number that slowly infects everyone

I got teary-eyed at how brilliant and relatable it is. For me this is a song clearly about the attitude to war and (if you will) to other horrors of life. Right now, something terrible is happening in the world because of crazy people. However, this song proves that everything will be fine in the end.

That kind of blind optimism is how bad things actually happen.
It is better to assume the worst and prepare for it than to never prepare and assume everything will be alright.
Things are never alright in the end unless you see it, recognize it, and fight it. Assuming it is 'just the wind' and ignoring it is how you end up in worse case scenarios. The song is more like a naive person being blind to reality.
