The older 4WD, incomparable to newer Jd transmission and final drive are way easier to repair. It’s just the engine that’s harder, but if overhauled proper, go for 6,000 hrs+

Hope you had a great birthday party with your family and friends. I'm surprised you were able to get into the fields. We've had so much rain in Indiana that fields looks like pond's lately. Only thing good is the one's planted and poking out of the soil that have a chance to produce now. So many acres unplanned are going to lose so much yield now. Great job with the video and hopefully your planter is good to go now.

Great videos, we have a 455 grain drill that we pull with the 9200 or the 8630. Have had really good luck using the 4 wheel drives and am creating less compaction than when we were using the smaller tractor.

neat seeing the disc and hook plowing and the finisher flatting it all out for smooth planting.
good luck for dry days to get all the planting done. how many acres are you doing this year?

Out of simple curiosity, is there any portion of the that old dragline that is still visible? Old, abandoned equipment fascinates me. Love the videos.

My Dad has told me that when it's super hot and dry in the summer you can see the tip of the boom or at least you could when he was a kid

I think I found your channel about 3 years ago (DP buy drag line). you were also selling an air drill planter at the time. can you say why you guys stopped doing no till planting ?? or do some farmers disk even with using an air drill planter ??

I don't think it was that long ago maybe about 2 years ago....we still do some no till planting so far this spring I've no tilled all the beans my 1780 John Deere planter is still able to no till....it all depends on soil type and crop residue as to if we till corn....now the corn ground we like to till as much of it as we can to get it warmed up and and eliminate some of the bugs if they exist....this is a discussion that could go on for hour's I can say I would never be a 100% no till farm you need a tillage program even if it's a rotation of so many acres per year

I thought that a lot of farmers were buying the older tractors because of DEP/ emission issues. also with John Deere not wanting to let farmers use John Deere software to tell the newer tractor computer that a new part has been installed….. I thought the older tractors were all the rage… I know Chris (Letsdig18) has been shut down twice over Dep issues,, bad wiring harness to a sensor
