Nice to see you using the older equipment and actually knowing what you're doing for maintenance and planting expecialy with the weather we're having this year.
when thinking of the brush, it keeps the seeds in a row, verses when worn the seeds can wedge, and jam up in the seeding unit. causing a low count due to the seeds not being a uniform order. you are putting them so fast into the soil it is key to have optimal movement of the seeds in the dispensing meter . great video so nice seeing the issues that come up, each and every day that you have to over come.
John deere 1780 yes it's all factory I believe you can get them 15ft all the way up to 40ft you can also lock the units up and plant 30in corn with them some had a liquid fertilizer option for that
Well after I had set and thought about it awhile that's what I had came up with the bean has to go part way around then falls out these don't work like the old bean cups but I still thought they would leak beans passed if the brush wasn't tight

Nice work! Was just there today visiting family at the cemetery and ate breakfast at Christos. Fields looked great coming down SR8
Maybe put them brushes on the yearly pm for the winter. To eliminate the down time in the field.
Never seen a toolbar like that.; that a factory Deere? What number?

The brush holds the seed into the teeth on the bean dish. When it is worn the beans fall out of the seeding dish.

Do you plant all your seeds in beck’s
I plant some Dairyland seed
I’m surprised you aren’t using a magnetic parts tray so that you don’t end up with miscellaneous screws and parts in the dirt. That would suuuuukkkk!
