That pouch your using now is the EXACT same one I used at work for quite a few months when I had to easily carry my Wera Zyklops 1/4" kit... The other great thing is in a pinch you can attach a carabiner of your choice to the loop and hang it from a pocket or belt loop, depending on the weight of course and such. Worked GREAT! And yes a grid type system would be a great option. One other thing I did for use with gloves in colder conditions was to attach my own paracord pulls with the marine grade heat shrink that has the heat activated adhesive/sealant in the tubing itself. Make em about 1.5-2" long and once they cool off they are stiffer and easier to grab. Anyways, keep up the great work Doc. I love your "budget" :-D Also check out the FR-1 Medical Pouch. I have one of those too and works depending on what size your stuff is.

So you waisted a bunch of money and time on pouches just to find a pouch.

At least with the maxpedition if you open the tool bag on the job site you won't get beat up. Thank you for another great video.

I’ve seem some videos on EDC’s for ladies. If you decide not to use the Hello Kitty pouch for yourself then maybe you could put together one for your daughter or wife. “Average Zoe Blogs” did an EDC video that made me see how It was something I could use too and not just the fellas.

I really like this size and shape bag. I have a few of the long Milwaukee and long Klein zip bags but for some reason, I can only find them available in an assortment pack with other bags. Headed to the Maxpedition site now. Thanks for the good info, Doc.

Took a look. Their messenger bag looks great to me. Kinda thinking about it in dark green. The cubes remind me of Craftsman and Bosch cases for their first gen lithium tools. Very similar. I use them for automotive needs.

    Maxpedition Skinny, FTW.
I have 2 in the brown color.
    They’re amazing organizers.

Wow. Interesting journey :) I caro a Car Kit that I made out of my MaxPedition organizer.. but it always bulged but I made it work. Just 2-3 weeks ago I migrated it to a Skinny (just like yours). I was surprised how great everything fit! I bought another & also found the Rough Enough brand on Amazon makes a similar size case. I bought two of those & use one for my PassThru Ratchet set :)

Nice size. The only problem is you can't put a hammer in it.

    • @felixf5211

Excellent point. The only one I can think of is a Nupla Handi-Hammer. A dead blow without a handle. It's a handy tool to have.

I think this is just what I’m looking for to keep a little tool kit in my back pack. I have some ITS first aid/trauma bags on the outside of the bag along with a Leatherman. But I’ve been finding I often need some more tools like a dedicated pliers, adjustable wrench, screwdriver, ect…

If you disassemble the knife you can check the detent pocket for a burr. If that doesn't work the detent ball might not be fully seated so you can try doing that. If that isn't it you can just give the detent ball a quick polish. If none of that works I would have to see it to figure out where to go from the

If I were to assemble such a kit, it would always include a 6" rule. Even have one in a kitchen drawer.
