I think it's the 49th Season, but the 50th team. Lupinranger vs Patranger counted as 2 teams in one series. 2026 sentai will be the 50th season.

I feel like the shield on the chest is gonna be connected to their zords in some fashion.

Power Rangers definitely missed out on this one. Especially since three of the rangers have animal motifs that match with American Professional Football Teams (Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles.). So much so I made Gozyu Leon my profile picture.

I think they are counting Patraranger vs Lupinranger as 2
Technically we already have a black female ranger in King-Ohger. But she's not really in the main team. More like predecessor to the original Black ranger.

How does it have Power rangers vibe when Power rangers never have these kind of suits?
Because prior to the No Sentai rule, I could see Power Rangers adapting this one and not skipping it

I just want two females back on the main team and for her the one female to be black is ehh to me. But i will say seeing the suit officially gives me some faith in the series even tho a yellow dinosaur and black unicorn is so interesting choices wonder how it ties in.

I don't feel the comparation with gokaiger specifically is the best one, gokaiger rides a lot on managing to pull of a concept not done before in that scale, but is not something It ahould be the norm when it comes to storytelling. *Point to the marvelous clones tha come after that never hit the mark*.
I feel they are going for a vibe more similar to king ohger if anything by the visual cues wich means being the tonal oposite of zenkaiger.

Someone working there was totally inspired by the Lord Drakkon shield design, there's no way it was an original design. And this is the 49th season. Gorenger came out in 1975 and it's to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gorenger. JAKQ was cancelled due to poor ratings, and that's why there's no sentai in 1978. And thanks to the Japanese Spiderman in 1978, faith was restore in 1979 sentai has been on tv since. 2026 is actually the 50th season. Love or hate it, this is just another way for them to milk sentai further and cause confusion to some fans. No reason for Toei to have Lupin and Pat red ranger to have their own number, when they are from the same season and this is why it counts down to every main red ranger number into the 50th anniversary for the 49th season. Then for the actual 50th season, are we celebrating at all? This is a mess, they should of made a 50th special dedicated to Gorenger, and save for the 50th season for the anniversary.Thank you Toei for confusing your fans.
