Nogai dombyra cradles the wind in Kart Keshü.

We all have got something that accompanies us throughout our lives and helps discover the meaning of life, go through a maze of secrets, look into the past, and try to predict the future. For the Nogai, it is the sound of dombyra, a two-stringed, ancient but ageless musical instrument. They say that only a Nogai who was born with the smell of wormwood in his nose can understand dombyra melodies. Dombyra has two strings that symbolize two beginnings - male and female. If the Chinese have yin and yan, then the ancient nomads had Tengri dualism - the opposition of the god Tengri and the goddess Unai, or in other words two main energy channels - male and female. Therefore, the dombyra is as a micromodel of a person - two strings are the projection of that male and female universal principle. If we turn to mythology, it says that when God created man, the soul did not want to enter the body. And then God ordered the angels to play the melody on two guts, which imitated the male and female strings.
