  • Hi everyone. Today we are looking at a budget friendly wood stove by Tomshoo. This is a Chinese made stainless steel wood stove I purchased from Amazon a few years ago. After extensive testing I can now give you a good overview on the pros and cons of this cheap stove. Are you looking for your first wood stove? Should you buy this one? I hope after seeing this video, you will have your answers.

If you loaded it correctly to start with it will burn for at least 20 minutes without refuelling: you build an upside down fire in these stoves ie. thick wood at the bottom and burn from the top down. There are videos on you tube that demonstrate using it correctly.
    Regards, Keith.

Maybe my next stove. I have a canway that fits perfectly in my msr pot. A lot of fun for camping.

Sounds great. If you do buy this, careful you balance the weight when using it, as they can end up being top heavy. All the best 😊👍🏼🏕️

Enjoying the varied content on your channel, wondered if you've ever considered/used the kellie kettle.

Thank you very much. I try to mix things up a little so people (including me) don’t get bored 😊 Yes I have looked at those. It’s not something I have at the moment, but I’d definitely consider one. Is it something you’ve used used/would you recommend it? All the best 😊👍🏼☀️

Nice video! Feedback for you: when mentioning alternatives you should be showing other wood GAS stove (which have the same principle), not just wood stove. For instance there is the Lixada wood gas stove.
Other than that, great video! Cheers from sunny Sicily! 🇮🇹

I bought a folding stove. It's from China and comes with a brown bag. Forgot the name of it. But it works great.

Be sure not to fill sticks, or pellets passed the secondary combustion top holes. If you do, your stove won't burn properly, due to smoke, and soot. You can even use liquid fuel, or hand sanitizer to start your fuel from the very top.

If you pack the wood in an upright manner and lay it in it's side , once it's packed it will burn for a good half an hour or more with little tending

Thanks very much Simon 😊🙏🏼 Something like this might have more uses than a ghilly kettle. Although both are good. Have a great weekend mate. Best wishes, Jono 😊👍🏼🏕️
