Tyler’s screams towards the end of the track instantly reminded me of Lynn Gunn‘s of PVRIS in their song, “Anyone Else” when she says ‘I don’t belong to anyone else.’ I love it!!! The album is amazing!!
Seriously. It’s the perfect blending of genres, and NOT in a cringy way. Takes a lot of talent to do one genre right, not to mention multiple in one song.
This song is so damn good!! To be honest man I'm diggin the shit out of the whole album!! Who else is not disappointed with the evolution of this band?
People who are disappointed with this are mostly just mad there aren't harsh vocals (which wouldn't have improved the album anyway because it's dope as is and a hell of a lot more accessible this way.)
I love the new album except for Flexin and Your Sake. I actually heard some mainstream song at the gym today and the talk rap part of Flexin sounded like an exact copy at one point
I wanted to not like this album and didnt give it the time of day the first listen. After a while I came back to it for a second try with a non-biased mindset and I can't deny the fact that it's just a groovy album. Eventhough I will miss the old Issues they seem to have hit their sweet spot and I can't help but to appreciate it.
This album is what I'm going to use to get my friends into this genre now! Been waiting for something like this for so long! They went entirely poppy on the vocal aspect, making the music super accesible and it hooks you in on the first listen, while still maintaining the intricate musicianship and heaviness in instrumentation. Honestly perfect for that aspect and it sounds great! Job well done boys.
@@fernandor6260 Not really, the harsh vocals turn a lot of people off, only songs I could really use would be exposed and a couple others, which I already do. This album has a lot more variety though imo and is a good addition to the "newbie metal playlist"
My girlfriend caught me singing this song when I thought she wouldn't be in the house anymore. Guess what album is playing on repeat in the car since 😅
This song has helped me in ways that the band will never know. Then again, they did write it and holy fuck everytime i get knocked down the screaming just lets out what im feeling for me. Thank you so much for this.
I've been a fan of Issues almost since the beginning and I realize now these guys are meant for so much more than this genre. Before long I could see them breaking into the mainstream
I've been a day one fan. And of course there are things I miss. But the way these guys have evolved is a thing of beauty. I'm so excited for this tour. Btw. I still cant listen to a single song without turning to my side as if A.J. is seated next to me, shaking my head, calling him a cheeky bad@$$.
All the people complaining that it's not as unique without Michael are wrong. It's the complete opposite. There's NOTHING else like this in music right now.
FOR REAL! How many bands mix harsh and clean vocals? Countless. How many bands have this type of heavy intricate instrumentation with ONLY clean pop vocals? I can't think of a single one.
The vocal melody starting from "The last thing I need..." sounds really familiar. Possibly from The Starting Line's Inspired by the $, but maybe something else.
As a fan of their older stuff... I can say that I’m severally disappointed. I mean, it’s good if this is what you’re looking for, but it’s not what I’m looking for in Issues.
Issues is one of the best bands of all time. I miss them so much.
Second Best is ironically the first best... goosebumps every time
I can't stop listening to this because I feel literally like every word is exactly how I feel lately.

Yes! That including the breakdown
There must be some common thread tying together all of Rise's best bands
This shit was lightning in a bottle if you ask me. One of the best rock albums of all time
Seriously. It’s the perfect blending of genres, and NOT in a cringy way. Takes a lot of talent to do one genre right, not to mention multiple in one song.
@@firstofdecember9247 Too bad Tyler got into some bad behavior and ruined the band. They were saying the next album was going to be even better

This is what is making Issues my favorite band this year
Try Slaves - Beautiful Death.
So generic....
You could've just used dance Gavin dance

That's gay
This whole album is like Metal goes R&B. I love it!
That's what Issues has been doing their entire career.
This song has helped me in ways that the band will never know. Then again, they did write it and holy fuck everytime i get knocked down the screaming just lets out what im feeling for me.

No one with ever come close to how well issues pulled this style off.
Real
@@Dracula_sb love this band so much. sad tyler did what he did tho.
@@thelittleowl1 Yeah for real, it ruined the bands momentum:/

Definitely the best song on the album. Beautiful Oblivion delivers.
Sometimes I want to get lost
Just listen to Citizen
& be pissed off
Most relatable line of this album.

I almost have to listen to a whole album everytime, and I can't pick a favorite album... Oh and it has to be loud as fuck
Please god add more layering with Tylers cleans and Aj's lows
Best shit they've put out. The lack of uncleans on this album is not even noticeable. This is a musician's record and these guys absolutely killed it.
AJ: Gonna tune down a little bit more.
sky: that sounds good
he's a beast
THIS is a great musical direction right here!
Love the direction they're going in.. I hope future work is even more Groovy and hard at the same time.💕💕💕💖

Easily one of the best on the album
this song hit's close to home, thank you issues at least it gives me closure.
This song hits right in the feelers
Wow.. Blow my mind at 1 am why don't you.
The melody to this song is something I imagine the dude from State Champs would’ve written. They’d be cool covering it.
Fun song!
My favorite!
"I think I'm just second best" is one of the best lines in the song
I can move on now and forget about flexin. 😥 Thanks for this.
Same.
Lmao same
Lets just all pretend that "flexin" doesnt exist, ok ?
flexin's dope stop takin things so seriously lol
