I've recently enrolled at the university of architecture and engineering with specialization in steel constructions and I can say with a degree of certainty that this video is perfectly right. Overpriced single-use quirky bridges is where it's at bro
Also congratulations on getting a degree in Certainty. I didn't even know certainty was something you could study in college, but it sounds pretty interesting.
14:12 I don't think anyone else would think two cars with one road would be "just a little bit harder" than one car, one road. This is absolutely insane and incredibly impressive. You should be very proud of yourself. There are very few people on the planet who could possibly have the ability to do what you do!
I would loooove to watch just a full playthrough of Poly Bridge where you overengineer each level. Or even just a regular playthrough would be fine by me. You work magic in this game, it's beyond satisfying to watch. Good job as always!
Would love to see a video detailing different types of mechanical “linkages” and such, possibly in 2D and 3D games like Polybridge and Besiege or something. Love your videos!!!
Maybe, but I think the biggest problem is overlapping joints. Without hydraulics you have to create stable force (like with the pulling mechanisms) and without breaks you also need more cables with reset mechanisms. At that point, it's just too much reinforcements and mechanisms crammed into the same spot.
Contractor: "So how's the bridge coming along." Foreman: "I... I'm going to go have an existential crises." Contractor: "What the hell?" In the distance the Engineer cackles evilly: "It works! My greatest design works!" Contractor spots the monstrosity: "WHAT THE FU-"
You should try the $100,000 budget bridge that's just a really long bridge for a tanker. Maybe make an exception it the truck is too big for one road but still in the same spirit of the challenge since you're moving the roads and not the vehicle.
Do you think you could try building a transporter bridge? They are very interesting structures, and I think it would be a good challenge for this game...
nice design and video! u should try do 5-10 next, its only one vehicle but heavy and a big gap i did it with 5 roads because 1 road was too hard for me to carry the truck with
You want a challenge. Here one You always here that triangles are your best friend, but is that true? Your goal is to build a bride with no triangles in it at all. I think you could transition this idea into a "minimum roads" series because I'd love to see some of the harder levels beaten with only like 3 roads
I just love how the whole contraption just JEETED the truck at the end

this is silly but fun and interesting XD, thanks for this good quality content i just subscribed so i hope keep watching good videos like this
"and once I have that now you can see it breaks" don't know why but this made me chuckle ha huh!
he does, indeed, a little bridging

So, we have saved on the roads. But there were some unplanned expenses...
Worth it tho

I dont think there are any stable 2D shapes other than triangles. Theyd all just collapse and turn into basically steel ropes
its beautiful!
