So... what if your notes app just does not have anything above the keyboard to start with? Is there a way to get those icons to show up? Or does the 12 just not have this option? I do not have any of those on mine. No camera icon at all.

Great video. Using the red arrows to highlight the key strokes is super helpful :) If you make updates to this video, please consider showing how to scan multiple pages into one document. It would also be helpful to follow through with naming the scan and downloading to Google Drive. Students need help efficiently submitting scans of homework to Google Classroom.

Because it is a pdf not a jpg file. This is more user friendly when sharing and storing. I do not think it uses as much space when saved. A pdf is easier to read

Hi do you know how to make the scan result to be in A4 size? I realize that when I tried to combine the scanned file by iphone with another normal pdf file which is an A4 size in one same pdf file, they are not the same size.. My scanned result is way bigger than normal A4 size..

This does not help me at all because I was able to figure the most important part out, but I want to save it to my desktop on my laptop and I cannot get it out of notes to do that. There is no option to do this. I need to put it in a file to send with other documents. I need to upload it to some other place, and I cannot do that. Does anyone have a helpful video that shows how to get it off of notes and actually use it as a document elsewhere?
If you take the picture against a contrasting background the app will find the edges and automatically crop the document very well without you having to make any adjustments
I took 1 great scan. No problem. After that (same type of document, different tax year), the scan comes out like an image (I'm definitely clicking scan - I tried multiple times.). It kind of looks like a faux instagram image. It's only about a 1/3 or a little less of the screen. I want it to be a clear, full page pdf of the document. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can you help?
Nevermind. I figured it out. Yay! For anyone reading the comment with the same issue. I had to tap on the image before going to File/Export PDF. If you don't tap on image, it doesn't expand to full page view. It looks more like a pdf of an image.
Hi Mary. I had the same issue too. What you need to do is to "Settings" then type "Notes" on the search engine above. Afterwards, select the "Notes" that has "Apple ID--> iCloud" then schrol down to the "Notes" icon and turn it on. Afterwards, go to the actual Notes App and take the photo from the ICLOUD folder and it should appear. Have a look at the comment here for further assistance: discussions.apple.com/thread/8076086.

I had to be in my Apple (iCloud) account. It had to be whichever notes account I had associated with my Apple ID and phone.

In case Scanning a passport like documents please cover with a glass sheet. This will obviously flatten the pages you want to scan!
