Thanks for the great video. I could say that Death on Decap is way faster even without Pride, though. And I use Hustle Tresh as a swap and when BoS procs, becomes incredibly fast.
Absolutely! I ended up using Death in an Eth Decapitator in my video having my fury druid take on the Ubers, and it was really fun to play! I shouldve used Hustle, I blew it in that regard, but he would definitely be running around like Sonic with the BoS proc!
For maximum damage output use BotD in an archon staff and Brand bow on switch. Archon staff has low STR requirement, while BotD give +30 to all stats. This means when you switch to your Brand bow, that your armor gear is disabled and therefore lowers your defense rating, resulting in an instant amplify damage proc. (Brand bow has 35% amp dmg when struck) I also like a setup with zodded eth Reaper's toll.
I appreciate the advice! I never considered putting BoTD in an archon staff, but with mentioning in the video how this BoTD was made for a fury druid, I also wanted my merc to get some use out of it for niche builds until I could gear up my fury druid. So I unfortunately did have to compromise on the base for both my merc and druid to be able to share, but id have definitely switched that up if i was rolling it solely for my fury druid to use!
I managed to roll a 400% ed ebotd on a thunder maul (which is good and bad at the same time, because the base had +15% ed) but after reading some comments and checking other videos... Using death instead of ebotd truly looks and feels great I'm also not a huge fan of the constant poison nova procs :/
That’s still a greatly rolled eBoTD! But I agree, death would be more ideal, I actually used Death in my Ubers run with this build, and it’s one of my favorite builds to use through Ubers. If you want to check how the build plays out with Death instead of of eBoTD, here, this is the video: ua-cam.com/video/Coaez_C8nyY/v-deo.htmlsi=3qYdgozC3LpkjZjm
Oh the double-mark is a pretty sweet idea :D I agree, highly underrated, as is the whole druid! (looking to you summoner) Werewolf has been for the longest time my go to build. If only they'd do something with rabies :(
I agree, its a jack of all trades character that more people should give an honest go. In the server slam for D4, i strictly played a druid to test out all the different options i could come up with and its a very fun character! I wish the summon druid was a better option to use, i tried strictly a summoner version in a build guide video as well, and i felt underwhelmed with it. However if I did hybrid summon/fury druid im sure id like it more, but the power with the summons themselves unfortunately is not really great overall in endgame use, but in playthroughs having all the summons really helps with crowd control and survivability, which is great for newer players who maybe are cautious to try the character out. And i agree, Rabies needs a much needed change. Hell poison damage in general needs to be tweaked a bit mechanics wise, its the only elemental damage that plays as it does but is a bit too complicated for many to want to play long term.
@@switch209gaming I don't quite understand why almost nobody likes druid^^ I've made 2 summoners too, first with maxed Maul and Death as weapon (cuz it has blood golem too), was very nice. But I even liked the full summoner more (cuz the ravens dmg is not to neglect now). With only 1 point in bear and shockwave it's the perfect assist for the summons, and they can even be obtained through items (I have +3Bear/+3Shockwave Delirium helm), so that no single point outside of summons need to be spent. Of course it's neither the fastest nor strongest build, but has high live, lots of fun for me, very laid back, and you can always recast the summons (great for bosses), and no Enigma is required as well because you can cast the minions almost like spells for repositioning. For me it worked fine. Merc gets Bramble and Pride. The dmg from all minions combined is no joke :) Maybe not suited for p8 but definately more than fine on single player! But I feel like I'm b.net's only d-sum advocate right now haha. The most crucial problem with rabies is, that it works differently than normal poison. You mustn't even have regular psn dmg on the build cuz it works against rabies. Some of the big streamers explained that in detail, forgot who. But the idea of the skill would be so cool. Like having a damage-over-time build with rabies and open wounds and whatnot. All in all Druid is one of the most versatile classes imo :)
I mentioned a lot of your points in my build guides for the endgame and a budgeted summon druid. I love that, unlike the summon necro, the summon druid doesnt rely on corpses for casting any of the summons, makes it easy to constantly have them spawned. however, with the set ups I used (i know they still couldve been better), when it came to solo targets, all the summons tore them apart, even act bosses, but with a mob and the summons split...it was a bit painful to watch everything slowly die. Dont get me wrong, for safety and ease of play, the summon druid is great, and for those new to a druid, it's a great starter build, however I think some overlook it as, compared to the summon necro, there's more limitations on how many summons spawn, and there's not a lot of additional sources of damage that can compare to a summon necro that can revive maulers for 25% crushing blow, or spider magus for poison damage, or pit lords for fire damage, or cows for crazy high health pools. I think the summon druid, in regards to a summon only druid using shockwave to help his summons, gets over shadowed by the summon necro. However, as you said, the druid is a jack of all trades: good at all, master at none, but sometimes it better to use a master at none, but good at everything, than a master of one, as you do have more variety to do and dish out for damage potential.
Thank you, I appreciate it! Working on a lot more before D4 comes out so I can hopefully dual upload D2R and D4 content for a month or two before having to really work on balancing both game's content.
He can use bows, every class can use bows. Shape shifted or in human form, even with no arrows, he'd benefit from the aura from harmony, helping him run around faster, however you cannot attack with the bow to shoot arrows while shape shifted. Its a great off hand option to get around even faster for werewolf druids that really want to max their speed with run/walk
@@switch209gaming I think my favorite build is a pure Summons Druid (no points into Shape-Shift or Elemental) that wields a Faith Bow... since he is human, Enigma works and Hustle is not required. (HOTO/Spirt on Swap for recasting Zoo Members... usually only Ravens.) Summon-Archer Druid. Liking you videos.
Back when i rolled my BoTD, i mentioned in the video it was primarily for a fury druid, but i also wanted it to be what my mercenary could use as well, as he would get more use out of it while i worked on building up my fury druid. And looking at base options, a great poleaxe seemed to be the best option to choose from shared use of my merc and my fury druid. But if i was strictly using it with only my fury druid, id have chosen a more ideal base for him in shape shifting form.
The base can be farmed from anywhere, but ive had good luck from weapon racks from farming Mephisto, or from doing LK super chest runs. For the runes, LK super chests, Travincal, cows, or even just level 85 areas usually are the best chances to have them drop. But remember, its all RNG. Good luck!
Grief and Stormshield is a staple for this build, but being id never gotten around to using my BoTD, I wanted to switch things up and put it to good use and show how well it can work, but Grief and Stormshield is amazing!
I know the hammerdin is such a beloved build by so many, however, it got very boring for me very quickly, and even with higher FCR, it was a build up before I felt as though I wouldnt be attacked compared to quicker builds to attack. I still play it every now and then, but it's more a throwback to my first paladin playthrough more than anything else to me. But I understand why so many enjoy it, and that's great for them!
D4 unfortunately had almost nothing, aside from some locations, influenced from D2, it's more of an upscaled Immortal/D3. But yes, this design wouldve been better. Blizzard's golden days with Diablo are unfortunately behind us, even though I actually did enjoy the story of D4 above everything else about it.
I really enjoy it, I hope more will give it a shot in the future, especially with the budget version coming out this coming week that really is quite cheap for how well it does!

Do you only use this strategy on bosses and elite packs? Sounds great but seems too risky
