recently started working in Germany, every week I have some new ideas to generate extra income but get stuck in my own thoughts regarding the rules regulations, and especially taxes if I invest more time and energy, but Ahsan Finance is always here to the rescue! Thanks a lot, brother, your content is really helpful being an international in Germany looking to explore!
I have one doubt, Let's consider a situation similar to your example if a person earns let's say 60k euros in Germany being a full-time employee, and aims to earn an extra worth of 20k euros, by freelancing, if he registers as a freelancer in his own country, for example, India then also does the person end up paying 15k taxes in Germany, or only pay the taxes in the country the income goes to, provided double taxation treaty is applied
Considering double taxation treaty, one would only need to pay taxes in the country where the business is registered. Now I am not sure if you can register yourself as a Freelancer in India while having a full time job here. That you must check with your employer here in Germany as well
You made a mistake, if the Blue Card or Residence Permit says "Erwerbstätigkeit gestattet", that means you can do gainful employment as an employee, not as freelancer or business. For that it should be written specifically "Selbständigkeit erlaubt"
Thanks for the Comment Saif. If "Erwerbstätigkeit gestattet" is written, then this means your visa is not attached to any special conditions. And you are allowed to apply for Further approval for working as a Freelancer or Starting a Business.
Can you please give the link to your advertising side hustle? The video is not showing in the above video when you point your finger up and say "in this video" at 4:41
@@ahsanfinance it just showed once when I watched the video first time but but I didnt click on it and when I came back to see it again it is not showing anymore. Just checked again its not showing. Is there not a link to it?
@ahsanfinance awesome content! Given that I have a Job seekers visa with „ERWERBSDTÄTIGKEIT ERLAUBT“ written on it can I do a freelance Web development/ Graphic Design Also do I pay a separate social deduction and income tax on my freelance profits after my main 35hrs/w job has been charged at the end of the month ( it wasn’t too clear in your video for me)
The job seekers visa is for finding an employement. If you want to do freelance work then you would need to register as a Freelancer and convert the Job seekers visa to a Freelancer visa. I recommend you talk to the nearest foreigners office and discuss whether your profession would be eligible for this or not.
Brother, as a student, can I start a KDP business on the side? Do I need to get permission from my University and the immigration office? Does it also fall under small business criteria? Additionally, do I also need to register or setup a company for it?
As a student you will need permission from both your University and the Immigration office. As far as small business criteria is concerned, as long as your Revenue is lower than 22k€ in the first year you will remain under the small business regulation
@AhsanFinance please answer this. i am on job seeker visa, can i register myself as freelancer? just asking because i am not getting a job and thinking to change my job seeker visa to freelance visa.
Unfortunately you cannot follow the procedures I have mentioned in my video. What you have to do is convert your Job Seeker visa to a Freelancer Visa in order to work as a Freelancer. For that you have to visit your nearest Ausländerbehorde and discuss it with your case officer.
What is the salary of doctors there, can they do private practice? Whats their salary difference in comparison others. Blue card is always with Zusatzblatt where they specify your job giver. Only allowed if you have Niederlassungserlaubnis
