After much frustration with Void Intercept missions and seeing the community struggle with them and the rest of the game, I am here to show you the very basics on which almost every single Descendant and Weapon should be built for general use. We will break down how to survive while also how to deal the most amount of DPS possible with Atk, Crit, and Weakpoint. I will show first hand with my Bunny build and my Thunder Cage build. In summary, avoid shields like the plague, love hp & defense, then a nice balance of Atk, Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and Weakpoint. Follow that and it’s ggs.

Something that everyone should know, mods are not additive, meaning the crit rate you see under 'applied values' for example is not your actual crit rate. All mods multiply the BASE value of the gun, meaning a applied value of 50 crit rate on thunder cage would add 50% of its base crit rate, meaning you go from 20% crit rate to 30%. If you want to see your actual stats, press W(idk the button on console) in the inventory page.
Needs to have more likes. Some weapons are NOT worth using ANY crit rate/crit damage mods on them because the base values are so poor.

Fire power/weak pt/% elemental dmg just seems like the way to go for 90% of guns

@@brettlewis2900 100% they are one of the cases where being multiplicative is actually good because they multiply your final outgoing damage, I’ve seen even the late game UA-camrs ignore them and just run the elemental damage affix when it’s literally the biggest damage buff you can get
Edit: referring to elemental enhancement mods here but the rest mentioned are good
Just got a Decendant gold mod that heals me for 9% of my health for every kill. Cooldown starts at 12sec but upgrading reduces it. Now, I'm a self-healing tank, lol. Made a world of a difference in my survivability.

This video was very needed, I'm surprised how many high level players constantly die and do no damage.
theres a bunch of videos like this so people will continue to die and do no dmg until they quit the game xD, imagine dying and not even thinking building defenses... i had to solo some bosses because people are just dumb

@@ImYourWorstNightmare7 yesh in the hangman fight lol. the other stuff i did fine though. I just kept my guns leveled and and did kind of pay attention to modules by the dead bride fight, just didnt level any of them lol
@@ImYourWorstNightmare7 facts lol, struggled with devourer since everyone else goes down faster than a cheap hooker, decided to go solo and cleared him the first time, I have farmed devourer solo now multiple times lol
It's better to use less mods that are upgraded than a whole bunch of mods

Do not use the auto equip mod feature the game has. It is so beyond awful. The choices are completely random and ridiculous

I think its mostly because its pulling from other people who have garbage mods. Basically put whatever they have and call it a day
It puts popular set ups, but on Steam the trophy of upgrading a mod was made by only 2% of the players 😂

Coming from warframe helped a lot with understanding this but even I forget about that sometimes and I think that's the biggest thing is that people just want to cruise control to endgame and then end up hitting the wall, always gotta remind myself every now and then to just upgrade my mods dummy and I'll do better, also been slowly trying to figure out which mods give me the biggest boosts to my gun damage when equipping them, it may be tedious but going through like one at a time and seeing how much it adds to your dps can take you a long way that way you have an idea of what to equip and upgrade
that and well people are finding its not worth investing into base descendants until they get the ultimate versions. but thats a challenge on its own because ultimates can only be obtained via hardmode void intercepts and hard mode missions...
im sure if people had alot better access to energy activators and what not the process would certainly be easier but they dont. you get 1 free forma and 1 energy activator via sub quests but thats it. crafting both of them to refine builds to allow you to accomodate more mods takes ALOT of time
@iAmDiBBz yeah 100% the grind is real and if you don't grind for those things you're really handicapped yourself and it's very easy to forget about or overlook when playing

Yeah, this is like starting from scratch being a Warframe veteran. I quickly understood everything in the game, but forgot just as quickly that I'm not overpowered yet, and the amount of time that I invested into grinding in that game.
That said, the grind is real in this one. Almost just as bad, if not worse RNG than Warframe at times. But at least this game tells you exactly the who what and where to go get everything.

I think players are getting the misconception that being level 40 means “I’ll be fine in the end game” and then they get humbled 😂
Yeah I lot of people do it with warframe to I saw a like Mr 12 guy with just random trash equipped and spent like 1 hr helping him and then he was shredding everything and was amazed
in reality character level does not matter all that much as long as you have mods on.

As in Warframe, maxxing out your Descendant just means you have to reset it, get a rune to one of the mod slots and go again :D
@Plaguings i mean your character level directly increases your mod capacity , so yea character level does matter.

yea trying to grind missions for parts has been a slog cuz my whole team does one of two things 1.ignore the mechanics of a fight or 2. die after one hit from a boss. I noticed this was starting to be a real problem when I first did the ossuary dungeon for a Sharen part, its all kittens and rainbows until the boss of the mission. people refuse to destroy the poison containers he spawns then die immediately when they pop because they just stand in the poison pool that spawn. additionally people seem to be ignoring the resistance mods, like one guy I was talking to today said he didnt need it because he knows how to move, then proceeded to die to the poison 6 times before popping the bosses first phase. so I agree the first mods people should focus on are health, defense, and resistance mods, once those are done then you focus on your damage mods. remember guys you cant do ANY damage if you are kissing the floor, and neither can your team if they are stuck picking you up for three quarters of the whole fight.
playing Destiny for 10 years and still seeing people ignore heroic public events or not knowing mechanics made me immune to bad teammates in every stuff

Remember that not everyone is spending 10 hours a day playing. So the majority of the community is still grinding to get forms and mods. It may not be lack of skill but rather lack of game experience

Honestly everyone should be catching onto this by Stunning Beauty or a little after. The fact that a lot of people are apparently unaware of this by the time they reach level 40 is unsurprising. Fortunately I’ve caught onto it a little sooner than Stunning Beauty as a Division and Destiny player so I’m making all the corrections I need to make.

The best advice everyone should know
Thank you for reminding me of my like 400 hours of warframe knowledge with how you did your mods... applying that formula to this game (the sytems are identical -like LITERALLY IDENTICAL) you will see large power jumps when you strip everything off and focus on your "core" first. From there and hardmode youd start seeing the need for the extra space from the capacity increase where you will need to focus on specializing for fights.

Found out about stacking def and hp during the pyromaniac. Learned i could tank quite a bit just by doing that which allowed me to stay up and continue to output dps

Actually really helpful tips about the HP vs Shield ty. I've been stacking shields and defence stats wondering why on hard I'm always trying not to die. Now with HP/Defence stacked survivability is way higher. Confirmed shields are garbage. Appreciate it

Nice. I had trouble understanding where I went towards the endgame.
Those HP mods are what make Gley so busted lol. Love running around with an insane amount of HP with no penalty. Since she has no use for shields/mp.
lol I just found out how to change my weapons. Was running lvl 1 weapons wondering why I wasn’t doing much damage when people were nearly one shoting the grave walker

Also I think it need to be mention, that crit rate is not equal crit chance. Crit rate increases your crit chance of that amount. So if u have a weapon with low crit chance (let’s say 10%) then with 50% crit rate, you don’t get 60% crit chance, you get 15% crit chance. You can see this under weapon stats. Just for a bit more advance modding tip.

Are elemental attack mods worth slotting?
Boss fights require good HP, DEF, and resistance. Having either dedicated resistance type mod or the multi-element resistance mod will increase your survivability by miles. I started using resistance mods when I got to devourer and could easily tank most of the damage he dealt out.

Felt like clarifying this but fior weapons to actually have good crit's you need good crit substats, because the bonuses in the modules is based off of the guns base crit + whatever crit is in the substats
A fully enhanced hp collector module restores 9% max hp every 2 seconds when killing an enemy. That would work very well with this build.

So from what I understand that crit chance and damage you showed was what you had applied through mods BUT that only applies to the weapons base values. So if the gun has 10% crit chance your 50% only brings it up to 15% and if you tab over in the weapon info it shows your actual percentages.
You’re correct, which is why some weapons scale really bad with crit, things like the LMGs scale better with straight DMG and Fire Rate, over CRIT👍
The only ones which go good with crit are only few heavy sniper no? Basically everything scales off better with flat attack

Not sure if it gets mentioned here, but upgrade your sub attack mod as much as possible, it gives slightly more mod capacity per level
I use it for the accessories, which are HP and anything that can provide Crit and Crit dmg along with any element. For mods I focus on skills.
In order to make shields feel insanely good look for the memory stat boost of shield recov in combat. Makes a hell of a difference and makes shields insanely powerful

I am new to FPS mmo genre, but not new to mmo’s. Never played destiny or warframe which I heard a lot of people reference. Playing a couple of boss battles with randoms they don’t read the boss notes or understand how to read the boss mechanics. In regards to investing in Hp the game drops hp items a lot which is kinda why shields just don’t feel that important except for niche characters. Also if you do die crawl to cover or a safe or easily accessible spot. I love it that the game gives you the option to solo stuff and not force you into multiplayer even though I love playing with others. It is nice if playing with randoms is failing to try doing it solo. Also give me to opportunity to learn the boss solo then jump into multiplayer so I don’t feel like I am being carried or dragging down the team.

My bunny thrives on Elemental Resist, HP and Shields.
Then I dump Skillpower, Range and skill crit. She is very balanced and does ungodly damage

Thank you for this always wondering why i am getting 1-2 shotted at times, noticed i had no HP modules or HP acessories or what you call them. only + bonus shield. Noticed i had 800 health lol.
Bullet inprovemwnt mods are essential imo, its too much dmg to miss out on, pair with firearm atk mods for maximum effect
as a new player its extremly frustrating to have stats like DEF but no idea ingame how much 1000 def is in % damage reduction... I was stacking def like mad, and still got one shots left and right... same with resistances, having 3000 still feels not enough going to an inception with 2100 recommended
youve hit the nail rite on the head having the same problem me self wen im doing public matches most of the time people r dying far 2 easy and they rnt doing enough damage im just average joe with my skills but i think like u have sed people rnt understanding how the mods work
