Good tip with the grease on the vessel and the water pressure sensor. That's something I've always just changed, thanks for the heads up 😊.

    Hi Jay, Great video mate!
I have an ultracom 2 30cxi, similar to what you are working on in the video. Can you tell me what size the o-rings are for the heat exchanger, as I am experiencing banging noises, & hot & cold showers! I intend to drain the system, & clean the exchanger, but would like to have the seals on hand to fit new ones on completion?

Leave the seals, ideally u need a power flush machine u can hire them for the day, turn the stat down and add system cleaner in for awhile then hot flush the system

Hi great video 👍🏻 wondering if I could pick your brain, I've just come back from deployment and my boiler is leaking water from that automatic air vent is that normal? Also the silver vessel on the right hand side should that have water in it 🤦🏻‍♂️ many thanks Adam

They tend to leak and seal themselves

These boilers r great but don’t like dirty water

@@warriorsofwarmth thanks for the advice bud, but now there is water in the flue so I'm guessing I just need a new boiler 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi Jay I have a 35cxi and every say 3 months a f.73 comes on now the last repairer said rain maybe getting into the boiler and keeps replacing that valve, i looked in today and seen some water within the boiler after a weekend of rain. Could this be why it's faulting all the time. Cheers bud

Hi I had my mains combi 30 he boiler replaced with a new valiant ecotec pro 30kw combi boiler 2 days ago. Later that day when I had a shower I noticed that the water flow rate wasn't as strong/fast as it was before. Do you know why this could potentially be. Thank you very much in advance.

@@warriorsofwarmth My radiator just started leaking just now out of the blue and thier was hot water spraying all over the floor and the floor was drenched in water. As soon as I heard the strange noise coming from the radiator I got up and turned the stoptap off and put some sheets on the floor. The amount of water coming out of the radiator slowed down once I turned the stoptap off and after around 10 minutes thier was no water coming out of the radiator at all. I was wondering if I turned the valve setting to 0 on that radiator and then I turn the stoptap on again and re pressurise the boiler could I still have a hot shower and would the radiator not leak then because I would of turned the setting of the radiator to 0 by the thermostatic valve on that radiator meaning no hot water can enter the radiator. Would the radiator still leak then if i was to turn the water back on from the stoptap. Many thanks if you could reply.

Samina Ali I bet the rad wasn’t secured to the wall properly or it was knocked

@@warriorsofwarmth it wasn't nocked. I saw the leak when the water was spraying from it. The leak was coming from the actually body of the radiator not from a joint or valve.

Hi I have been looking at most quotes online for a new boiler and many of the websites that I've clicked on are giving me a quote but the quote almost always includes a chemical flush and not a powerflush. I'm really worried because most warranties are only valid if there is no sludge in the boiler and if the engineer does find any sludge then the warranty would not cover the repair of the boiler. I have been living in this house for 20 years and I believe that the radiators have not been powerflushed or chemically flushed even once in the 20 years. I'm really worried that if the heating system is chemically flushed like most of these quotes are saying then that their might still be some sludge in the system and my warranty would be void if anything was to go wrong with the boiler. Please can you let me know if this would be the case or not. Many thanks in return.

Sophie Anderson yes the warranty would be void, but a 20years old system a chemical flush should be sufficient, a chemical flush would mean leaving a cleanser in the system for two weeks then hot flushing out and adding inhibitors on completion.
