Thanks for this! Leveling up my zerk atm and wanted to see what kind of rotation i should be getting used to in preparation for BR. I main a sorc but i must admit i've been having a blast playing my zerk. XD
May i ask what your rotation is or at least.. what did you do during 0:34 to 0:37 xD What I saw was Thunder Strike > Evasive Smash (x2) > Raze > ??? > Staggering Strike > Flatten > Thunder Strike > Vampiric Blow Oh and... how do you use Vampiric blow after Cyclone or Thunder Strike without being stuck in animation? (the small delay from lifting the axe back up)
At 0:34 I used Thunder Strike into Evasive Smash > Combo Attack > Raze (Thundering Takedown) > Staggering Strike > Flatten > Thunder Strike > Vampiric Blow. I don't usually use Stagger > Flatten, but at that point I just wanted to do as many attacks as I could before the boss moved. Normally the rotation is something like this (with nostrum): Thunder Strike]] > Cyclone]] > Thunder Strike > Vampiric Blow]] > Combo Attack > Raze]] > (repeat). Keep up self buffs and use Evasive Smash]] to position yourself (if you're already behind the boss, don't waste it). *The ]] means block-cancel the animation after that attack. Although attacks not fully charged can't be block-canceled, I still do it after Vampiric Blow, it seems to me that a very small part of the animation still gets it. Vampiric Blow chains faster if you overcharge a skill before it (at least 1 tick of -HP). Also, use a separate button for each skill if you haven't done already. The chain system is pretty bad.
Wow this is so strange!!!!!! Raze has a TS glyph chain skill but there is no chain skill slot to assign TS as chain skill for Raze :I But whenever i use Raze ,,,,"Flatten" pops up as the chain skill from god knows wherever.I have checked both skill lists but there is no way i can assign any chain skill for Raze.
It is indeed weird, I don't know what's the reasoning behind it, some skills can't be set as chain, others can't be removed. Some skills chain faster even if it doesn't say anywhere, like Thundering Takedown (Raze) > Flatten. I highly suggest you stop using chain skill altogether. Just press separate buttons for every skill. This is the best way if you want most damage, because sometimes it can bug out and have delay, or just plain not work. Also, separate jump from chain skill if you haven't done it already.
I have a couple of questions if you don't mind me asking. Do you OVERCHARGE Cyclone and Thunder Strike? Or just charge them till its red? What exactly is your rotation during a fight? (I want to read it so I remember correctly) Thanks! :)
I overcharge when I need to save mana, if the boss isn't moving much or if I have Flurry of Blows activated and it's fast. The "rotation" isn't really a rotation, but more like try to use TS / Cyclone as often as you can and fill the gaps with CA / Thundering Takedown, SS / Flatten, shouts, etc. A rotation would look like this: TS > Cyclone > TS > Vamp > CA > TT > repeat. Meanwhile keep up the self buffs. Almost forgot, use ES when you can't normally get to the boss' back (save it if you know an attack comes that you must dodge where block doesn't help).
Is this normal mode or hard mode? That's probably obvious to everyone else but >.>''' Seeing you use every skill like that is just so o.O I never figure out how people do it. Especially a non mouse bound evasive smash o.O
AnUnculturedLittlePotato It is normal mode, this was recorded not long after the dungeon was introduced, so it might look that we were struggling, we were still in lvl 60 armor. I don't know what you mean by using skills "like that" :P Also, I do have ES bound to mouse button (mid click), it's easier to press in "oh crap" situations, hehe.
Andrei Gall Oh ok. I meant Using skills one after the other after the other without really thinking too hard. and yeah I moved axe block to 2 and ES to right click. My middle button is really finicky.
Those numbers are insane! I need to get back to playing my Female Aman Berserker

Andrei Gall Oh, thank you so much :O I've been trying to figure out when to use vampiric blow and raze for a while now o.o
This was very helpful :)
xbl4ze You're welcome :)
My gear is Archetype set (except weapon), the new jewelry (crit rate pvp set 3 pieces / power pve set 2 pieces), Ambit weapon, everything MW +12.
Is Ambit better than VM3.5 @@?
***** Damage wise, ambit weapon + rest archetype is better. If you really need defense, then go full ambit.

Okie dokie thanks! And I'm assuing Thundering Takedown is Raze in NA version.
Yes, I just checked and Thundering Takedown = Raze, Razing Strike = Tackle. I don't know why they make these names so different. Oh well...
What do you use for screen recording?
I use Fraps, it's probably one of the best for recording in uncompressed format.
Hey, can i ask u what are your computer spec? Graphic card, processor, motherboard, ..?
Nice vidoe
Thank you.
I have an i5 3570k CPU @ 3.4 Ghz, 8GB RAM, Radeon HD7850 GPU, a cheap motherboard and a 7200 rpm HDD.
