This is so relatable and I've experienced soul communication like this by sitting in silence with another who has transcended their human conditioning.
When you can get so present as to lose that programmed self identity and blend with Spirit or Source that's when the real magic begins. I am not a name, a body, a job etc. but rather I am energy or frequency...I am Spirit...then the Spirit in me recognizes the Spirit in you and remembers we are of the same source and what I do to you I do to myself...aloha 💖

This is the crux of the vedhantha that you are a part and parcel of this supreme consciousness and go back , once individual consciousness collapses as soon as jeevathma leaves your body( cluster of atoms).

If we all had beginnings with emotionally attuned adults to attend to our needs yes but as most of us haven't we need first to use our words to end the confusion that derives from being denied emotionally.

    • @markfuller
      @markfuller Рік тому +1

@@Myheartofthematter I agree. It's a connundrum. In reality, our conscious experience _emerges_ from the subconscious (95% of the brain). The conscious 5% rationalizes, explains, labels. It takes credit for its existence, experience. But, it's all happening in the vast 95% that we don't have much access to. It's even happening 1/2 second _before_ it emerges. I.e., the conscious mind is occuring a little late, out of synch, making sense of everything as if it's real time and it's the conscious mind doing it. (It's funny when you really conceptualize/internalize how this is really happening. It's like the old cartoon gag where a small mouse is walking in a dark room, passes in front of a light source and a huge shadow (it's own shadow) appears on the wall. The mouse believes i's real. It's only real because the mouse gives it that belief. It's only by identifying with what emerges, believing it to be real and a result of this moment that we're influenced similarly by our mind.).
In many ways, that can be a huge relief to realize "it's not real. I'm doing it to myself. I'm telling myself a story because it's better than the raw reality of the moment." _But,_ if that dependence/addiction/habituation to the story-telling mind is more a matter of necessity (running from repressed, dis-integrated trauma, shame, anger), then it's not a huge relief. It can be massively destabilizing. Like you said, there has to be some understanding/acceptance of _why_ it's been practiced more existentially than the average person. (But, then people can invest/identify too much with that, and perpetually live in the past, never let go. Ultimately, the only thing that's real is this present moment. Everything else is a story we tell ourselves. That can be a big relief to realize. But, if the story is necessary, then it's not that simple either.).

@@devanshudesperado So instead of trying to hold presents, just focus on one thought (singularity of thought) like many I really like the breath. So relax and just focus on your breathing and in a few seconds your mind will take over, that's ok! Just gently bring it back to your breath, back and forth. Like pumping iron for presents, it's the spiritual work out! (I also like bringing a note pad and "down loading" some thoughts that arise. I'll write down the persistent thoughts; ok I'll do the dishes today and write it down etc.)

    • @recordgirly2567
      @recordgirly2567 Рік тому +1

@@devanshudesperado The ultimate goal is no thought, that's where presents is. Where the observer, your soul is. But just jumping to no thought (especially here in America with consent busy thoughts streams) is next to impossible for most. So the "work out" is necessary to train the mind ... that the Observer is in charge. Focus on breath, soon thoughts will come, the moment you become "aware" that you're back to thoughts BLAM that awareness is the Observer!! But the mind is powerful with a lifetime of control, and will quickly take back over. But that's ok ... bring it back away from the thoughts to the breath over and over.
Picture doing curls, when the weight comes up you're in thoughts, consciously lower the weight and bring it back to the breath, over and over AND over ... It's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and took me weeks of "training" before just alittle "shift" of starting to be in control of the mind with longer and longer periods out of thoughts. I'm not going to kid you, it takes a while and oddly, learning to have relaxed focus is difficult, kind of like a tug of war. In a few weeks I started to see progress and after several months I started to have control over my meditations with longer and longer moments in presents. Hopes this helps!

You are not a person. You are presence, light, unconditioned. It's energy transmission.
    Silence is the speech.
You are ultimately looking at yourself, sensing something deeper than the surface.
    8:57
What is essential is invisible to the eye. That presence recognizes yourself in what you look at.
You have the sense of oneness, no separation, no otherness.

"Silence is the best speech"......I wonder why Eckhart spent his life "speeching", he travels the world doing so, on TV here using UA-cam, and so on, seemingly endless speeching.
Silence before the speech is what Eckhart is practicing, that makes sense to me.

Without "pointings," people wouldn't know what to look for (what to relate to & trust as the way). The buddha spoke at great length to his followers, giving examples. Those teachings are cannonical today. In some ways that's an impediment because people will learn the teachings like a complicated religion (not the underlying simple principle it points to).
There's a famous photo(?) of a zen teacher, index finger extended upward. The story is that when asked "sir, what is being present in the moment?" he replied "there, that's it. There it is again...." (the pose depicts that existence in a fleeting moment that can't really be described or captured. It's over by the time you say "there it is."). To me, that's the most minimal pointing. It's the most true, but perhaps the least relatable or understandable to the avg person. So, then people give more pointings (as the buddha did) and it's more relatable, but less true (more of a story about what it is, not what it is). That's always the quandry. The more it's talked about, the less that's what it is. It becomes cognitive rather than an experience. (But, without some pointing, people may not recognize what's right in front of them.).
I awakened mostly on my own 10 years ago as a result of nervous breakdown (I guess. I hit a wall that I realized I couldn't make it work. It wasn't working. It was me. "Trying harder next time" never worked. It was getting worse). Over years I realized I was doing it to myself (that my mind drifts into a confabulating relationship with reality). It took 2-3 years before I found a mindfulness exercise that stood out to me as what I'd already been trying to do (in my on crude way). 2-3 years after that, I watched an Eckhart video and "wow! this is the first person I've heard describe what I know." It was weird. I didn't know I'd essentially done buddhism. I just thought i'd become familiar with how my mind works. But, the stranger thing was that I knew that moment that I would have _never_ gotten it if I'd started with Eckhart (or Buddhism, or any teacher). I would have critiqued it, over-analyzed it, become "one of them" (not have my own experience). For me, more pointings would have been a hindrance (I would have been @ChipTowers).

I have heard from wise men saying that if one is silent all day there are only two silences, one during sleep and one during the day, but of one speaks there are more, in between the gaps of the words ... so actually it is better to speak ... or write ...

"Shri Ramana Maharshi was one of the most significant people of this century. He was not a master; that’s why people don’t know him as they know George Gurdjieff or J. Krishnamurti. They don’t even know him as they know Sri Aurobindo or P. D. Ouspensky who were only teachers - profound teachers, but not mystics.
“Ramana Maharshi was a silent pool of energy. Every morning he used to sit for a silent satsang, communion. He never talked much, unless asked something. Then too his answer was very short - having profundity, but you had to look for it. There was no explanation in it. His literature is confined to two, three small booklets.
“His teaching was mostly to be in silent communion with the disciples. Naturally, very few people were benefited by him. But every morning he was sitting, people were sitting, and a cow would come and stand outside, putting her neck through the window, and she would remain standing there while the satsang lasted. It must have continued for years.
People came and went, new people came, but the cow remained constant, coming at the exact time, never late.
“As the satsang would disperse she would move away.
“One day she did not appear, and Shri Ramana said, “Today satsang cannot be held, because my real audience is absent. I am afraid either the cow is very sick or she has died, and I have to go and look for her.” He lived on a mountain in the south of India, Arunachal. The cow belonged to a poor woodcutter who lived near the ashram. Ramana left the temple where they used to meet, went to the woodcutter and asked, ‘What happened? The cow has not come today for satsang.’
“The woodcutter said, “She is very sick and I am afraid she is dying, but she goes on looking out of the door, as if she is waiting for someone. Perhaps she is waiting for you, to see you for the last time. Perhaps that is why she is hanging around a little longer.”
“Ramana went in and there were tears in the eyes of the cow. And she died happily, putting her head in the lap of Ramana Maharshi. This happened just in this century. Ramana declared her enlightened, and told his people that a beautiful memorial should be made for her.
It is very rare for human beings to be enlightened; it is almost impossibly rare for animals to become enlightened, but the cow attained.
“She will not be born again. From the body of a cow she has bypassed the whole world of humanity, and she has jumped ahead and joined with the buddhas. So once in a while - there are a few instances only - it has happened. But that cannot be called the rule; it is just the exception."

      Its a story,
      But Bagawan didnt deny/acknowledge that
      My view:
Existence sees everything in its own way, The Jeeva of the old woman would have wanted for liberation at her last breath,
To fullfill that last wish Existence created a life and brought her to Bhagawan
Jeeva last breath wish - Reincarnation- Natural Law
When I attended Buddhist Vipassana, Goenkaji video also told to die with awareness, seems last minute of death has some relation with next birth
There is story, where a devotee who worked as Bagawan's attendant who got reincarnated as white peacock and came back to Ashram,
Everyone said the peacock is the devotee's next Janma
Bhagwan didnt acknowledge/deny this next janma, but called the peacock by Devotee's name, told him why are you not at all listening to me even in this janma
Liberation is to the mind/body/identity mechanism, So that The true state which is always birth/deathless can be realized

      @@willieluncheonette5843 This is a story,

      Somewhere I read:
When The last breath of jeeva(life ends) leave, it takes the mind(last wish) with itself,
So that the next birth will be created to fullfill this wish, Existence creates that as a natural law
The old woman could have died by wishing for liberation, and existence created her to give such a life
When I attended Buddhist Vipassana, Goenkaji also said when the jeeva leaves the body, be mindfull of it, it will give good birth,
People who dies suicide has a terrible mental breakdown before dying, This makes the next birth also troublesome, and mental problems,
So He said die happy with awareness to get a good birth
There is a Attendant of Bhagwan who got a next janma as white peacock,
Bhagawan even conditioned the peacock by the attendant name, to behave atleast in this janma and listen to him

It feels like such a great blessing to have received my father's darshan, particularly since I had a very challenging relationship with him earlier in life.
I can reconnect with that smile any time. Such a gift..thanks

So instead of trying to hold presents, just focus on one thought (singularity of thought) like many I really like the breath.

"Unrendered" is also the standard msg Apple Final Cut Pro displays when a sequence isn't created right, or the sequence is changed and not re-rendered. (It seems the editor person didn't do something right.). I wish the youtube admin would be more communicative in the video description. Communicating the date & location of recording would be helpful (lots of people ask "where can I see the full talk?" A date/location could help identify what to look for. Sometimes videos have audio problems. It could help to know it happened 10 years ago, not yesterday.). This glitch would be something to explain in the description. (People are assuming the worst, that it's deliberate subliminal messaging. :) ).

I'm surrounded by people who remain silent about what's going on for them emotionally and I'm left in the dark, confused as to how they are impacted by my words and expressions about how I feel about their denial of their emotions and subsequent behaviour. I can sense their distance, I witness their reactions and it's a lonely experience. Without words, we do not have our stories. Communication is not only made with words but our senses also but we don't reach our senses by denying our words. Language is too important to dismiss or expect understanding without communication to clarify as we all communicate in ways that make sense to us but may not to another. To reach a place of comfortable silence we must first know the person we sit with. Most of us are not connected on such a deep level to know one another without sharing words first. Whilst it would be wonderful to be with someone in silence, I'd remain curious about their story.
