Turns out I'm not the only one having issues with the weapon manipulation mechanics in this game. I remember having zero issues at all in Pavlov but reloading in AZS2 is such a chore. You can turn off advanced reloading but what's the point in playing VR if you're gonna halfass the reloading sequence? The story itself is worth it though. I swear you should continue playing. Not gonna spoil anything, but the twists are bonkers. Good video bro. You hit the nail on the head.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, the quick reload is a feature from the 1st game (and ATF), to help with reloading when holding the flashlight, but that’s less needed here as the flashlight (albeit useless) is attached to your chest, when IMO it should have been attached to your head. From what I’ve seen of the story, yeah it’s the strongest part of the game, and maybe after some time away, I’ll return to finish it. Appreciate that you didn’t spoil anything for myself and others. EDIT: aiming to reloading cuz that’s what I meant to type!
@cinemaspace interesting, i've found the flashlight in AZS2 pretty serviceable and illuminates what i need it to, although, like you said, it's a bit dim. The one in the first game was okay but it's another thing i have to hold on to all the time which tires me out lol. Also due to the tilt angle i set for my handguns, holding the flashlight upside-down is super awkward and hard on my wrist.
@@alexbui1385 There should be a button on the controller (I don't remember which one) that'll flip the flashlight around to act as if you're holding it above your shoulder, which makes it far less strenuous, like shown in 17:45. Hopefully more games adopt this method when allowing you to hold flashlights (Looking at YOU, Phasmo!)
6:58 your weapon was in your pouch's hitbox so the mag would automatically go back in. Happens to me in contractors when playing cod zombies and i try reloading while keeping my weapon too close to my reserve ammo
It’s very unfortunate, and in my opinion shouldn’t be happening. The magwell should have been far enough away from my pouch to not hit my pouch hitbox.
great review. but why in the hell are you keeping ur gun so low when reloading. all you have to do is move it up a bit so its not in the belt radius. at some point you have to accept the mechanics the game gives you and accept that you are the problem if you dont work with them
It totally could be a PEBKAC issue! 😅 but I have long gangly arms, so naturally I do stuff with them a bit lower than most people I guess? Regardless, I still maintain that the pouch hitbox is too large. This also ties into my complaint about the calibration menu not allowing the player to position the pouch independently from the hip circles.
Agreed. This game feels bland and the same. It just feels like Zombies running at you and you shoot them. Sure the scenes look different but it feels like walking down a shooting gallery with him talking sometimes and sometimes it’s too much talking to me.
I can understand him talking too much being an annoyance to some players, especially those trying to play co-op. For me, I felt that it added to the theme of him being completely alone for so long and going slightly insane as a result.
I thought this video had a lot more views and subscribers. Great content and great presentation. I think you will go far if you continue.
Appreciate your kind words, I’ll keep doing my best!

I personaly didnt have any problem with reloading the only problem i had was trying to grab things under my ammo pouch
Thankfully you didn't have as many problems as I did. It was very frustrating.
69th Sub - keep up the good work
Nice! (Also thank you!)
Does the pumpkin only appear in october? I found one too in my game.
I don’t think it’s only seasonal, I found it (I don’t remember where) during my play-through in the beginning half of the year.

Why do you shoot left handed?
Because I am left-handed. 😃
You just got a sub
….
Wolfie is a Terminator 2 reference. Its an indication that the guy is lying. IYKYK. 😉
ahhhhhhhhh I didn't catch that! Clever! It's been many years since I've seen Terminator 2.
