Certainly, Bobby Hatfield's live performance of this classic song in 1965 on the Andy Williams Show set the standard and made a great song a masterpiece. DiDi Stone singing this well-known ballad, also live (no tricks, no retakes, no gimmicks,) does an excellent rendition somewhat in Bobby's style, however, I hear qualities of his voice that make this a great cover, and in ways, the song, his own. Congratulations Didi. Keep up the good work. Music and talented singers like you move us, give us joy, and fill our lives with a little extra beauty. Thanks!
@@sylviabuck3369 if you're going to be rude, at least comment on something he can change about his singing. evidently, you think nobody can sing like bobby hatfield. and yes, nobody can sing like him, so there is zero point to this comment other than an unnecessary dispirit to the singer's effort. it's not a critique, it's a useless sentence that serves no function...or perhaps you're insinuating that nobody is ever allowed to share their interpretation of the song because nobody will sing it like bobby did? are we not allowed to partake in the joy of singing now without seeing these snarky comments?
