I used to shoot corporate videos in the 80's and 90's. We did not have AI. However, the rule of thumb was: If you use a teleprompter, ensure the camera is at least 10 feet from the subject. If you use an over-the-lense teleprompter, you will not detect eye movement. It was good enough for CEOs at Bell Canada and other corporations, it is good enough for any videographer. PS: Patricia your video tips and methods are spot on A1. Thanks.
If you're in SoCal I hope you and your family are safe! Descript without a doubt... I'm partial because I've been paying for the basic tool but since they released the advanced AI and I read the monthly upgrade notes I made the switch to creator. Thank you for your wonderful training, I just discovered you while looking for DIY teleprompter an hour ago and you made my day so much easier. Patricia, Would you allow me to interview you for a digital marketing group I'm building?
Such great tips! Thank you so much for making this video! It's hard to see the differences between Captions and Descript because I was watching it with my phone.
Yes, great point! I was comparing it on a bigger screen. But, yes, on a phone, they would look more similar since it’s a smaller screen. Thanks for sharing! 😄
Thanks so much for this! I am using Descript and LOVE IT for the eye contact feature (as well as other features that Descript comes with). I believe that VEED also has an eye-contact AI and may be cheaper than Descript.
a quienes no les aparece la opción en capcut, tienen que descargarlo nuevamente desde la pagina oficial, personalmente tuve que hacerlo así porque al actualizarlo no me daba la opción
Thanks for the tutorial. What is the version of your capcut? Mine (5.1.0 - the latest alpha version as far as I know) did not have this feature. I even updated it to 5.2.0 Beta and Still isn't there! (I have pro subscription)
@@PatriciaKelikani Yes, I’m on Windows PC! Seems like Mac users get all the cool features first (as usual 😄). Hopefully they’ll remember us Windows users exist too and bring it to PC version soon!
wow sorry not trying to be mean or anything but you blink a lot to the point that its actually distracting do you suffer from dry eyes or some other illness , because thats not really normal
I noticed that sometimes I blink a lot in my videos, too. 🙈 I think it has something to do with my contacts and dry eyes so I’m going to try out new contacts. Hopefully it helps!
@@PatriciaKelikani yeah definitely get it checked out better safe than sorry . It almost looks like an allergic reaction , like your eye is irritated . Just dont let them talk you into using eye drops , its probably the worst thing you can do to your eyes . Buddy of mine got kicked in the head while playing soccer and got a bloody eye so he had to use eye drops to help the healing process . A year later he was still using drops because his eye stopped producing the protective tear fluid , thats coating the eye and keeping it wet . It was a real struggle to get him off it because it felt like he had sand in his eyes if he did not use the drops like once an hour. Took him almost half a year to be completely off that crap , i would not wish that to my worst enemy. That was why i commented at all, you reminded me of my buddy with the blinking and i just had to say something. Have a good one and get it checked out
This is an amazing video. I did not expect you to cover Captions and Descript. Literally all of my questions answered. Thank you!!!!
Wow-great info! I didn't realize this was available! I'll start with CapCut and move to one of the others as my audience grows.
Thanks, Irene! 😄 I think you have a great plan about starting with CapCut! 🙌🏼
i have not show in my capcut EYE CONTACT option

Yes! When the subject’s face isn’t close up, it makes it easier to look like they’re looking at the lens. Thanks for sharing!
Capcut, the free option, is the winner!

Hello Patricia, I was looking "Eye Contact" option in Nvidia Broadcast but can't find in latest version, can you guide me about it please. Thanks

Thanks for sharing! Yes, VEED also offers the eye contact ai feature as well as NVIDIA. 👍🏼
Cap Cut . Thanks for sharing
You bet! 😊
I agree Descript has the best results... Thanks for making this video!
Thanks for sharing! And, you’re welcome! 😊
which CapCut are you using? I don't see that feature.
Bummer! I downloaded it onto my Mac and it’s available there. It’s version 5.0.0 of CapCut.
@@PatriciaKelikani this feature is not available on WIndows PC Capcut

Interesting! My version is 5.0 for a Mac desktop and it’s the free version. Are you using a PC? I wonder if that’s the difference…

I thought Captions looked better than Descript. To me, it looked like your (right facing) eye was a little red. my opinion.
Yeah, Captions and Descript were pretty close to me. Especially when watching it on a smaller screen like a phone.
