There is something about fudge that fascinates yet strikes fear into the heart of the home cook. And I will admit, a lot of physical chemistry is involved in making old-fashioned fudge. The recipe calls for combining and boiling milk, bitter chocolate, and sugar together until the temperature reaches 237°F/114°C (known as the “soft-ball stage”), pouring the seething mixture into a bowl, cooling it to 110°F/43°C, and then beating the candy until the surface shine disappears.
This easy chocolate fudge recipe is different - no cooking, cooling, or beating is required.

Anyone else watch these and imagine it’s the husband playing the piano in his pyjama bottoms next to Petra cooking?
Always …and he’s wearing sunglasses while the cat sleeps on the piano
Haha, he plays guitar and drums. He can only play a few chords on the piano :-D
Looks Awesome! I'm always so jealous of Tanner getting to sample all your delicious creations!
Well, you guys will have to come over then. It's been way too long!!
Thanks Petra! I really enjoy your channel..
I don’t think there has been 1 video she has posted that I have disliked. a combination of her soothing voice and the recipes.
And I am not even vegan. but I would eat her food if she cooked for me
Aw, you're so kind, Leila! Thank you so much!!
This seems very similar to the top layer in your brownies, my favorite recipe of yours by far!
This would also be great with a drop of mint oil added.
Oh, yes! I love the combination of mint and chocolate!
Finally! I love fudge, but this is the 1st recipe with good ingredients! Thank you!
Aw, thank you! Hope you enjoy the recipe :)
Very rich & decadent!
How is she not at 1 million subscribers yet???
You're such an encouraging person!! I could read your comments every day :-D
Looking forward to seeing a video for a semi sweet option.
Thank you for this delicious fudge recipe Petra!! I love Camino chocolate too! I almost grabbed coconut milk at the store today! Will have to get some then cannot wait to try!! 😊❤do your kiddos like it?
Thank you! :) It depends on which chocolate I use. If I use up to 75% dark chocolate, they love it. If it's over 75%, they will eat it, but always tell me that they would like it sweeter :-D
This is one of the best channels on UA-cam. Thank you for all your videos!
What a beautiful little recipe, simple but still Whole Foods based, I’m definitely trying this, possibly even tonight! 👀 it would also be easy to swap the Almond butter for Tahini or Hazelnut butter… yum.
Ty 🖤
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy the recipe :)
The shot when you poured it into the container was really satisfying. Looks good
Thank you!!
Your videos always feel so cozy. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! So happy you're enjoying the videos :)
Petra, I watch you to learn principles for cooking plant food. I fancy creating a plant-based feast for my non-vegan friends. The theme is "Love Bundles around the World"--dishes such as sushi, dumplings, pockets, cabbage rolls or stuffed grape leaves--anything with an outer layer and filling. I'm not sure what country you're from. Was there a wrapped food you grew up eating? If this piques your interest, will you share with us your creation? Thank you!
I make homemade plant based perogies on my channel. They are so delicious!! You may want to try 😊
I am originally from the Czech Republic and grew up eating stuffed peppers AND stuffed cabbage rolls. I never liked them growing up, lol, which might be why I have never even tried recreating them. I LOVE summer rolls, though, which are definitely not a typical Czech food, but I have shared that recipe on my channel :)
@@NutritionRefined I love cabbage rolls. Can’t remember if I’ve made a plant-based version. Just may have to now
I think nature is so brilliant that this is on our essential food groups list .
Haha, love it! :)
Made it! Loved it! Thanks for another perfect recipe!
Looks good and best of all so easy!
Thank you!!!
Thank you. It looks delicious.
Thank you so much, Sue!
*YUMMY!!*
Thanks for this information
Thank you so much for watching :)
Is there a link for the chocolate you've used? Thank you for sharing:)
you got me at luxurious... ;)
Haha :-D
Awesome recipe. Can this be adapted using cocoa powder? Much appreciated.
Thank you! To answer your question - yes, the recipe can certainly be adapted. f you're using cocoa powder instead of chocolate, you would need to also replace the fat in chocolate, aka cacao butter. Coconut oil would work as a substitute, but it would change the consistency of the fudge a little (since coconut oil has a lower melting temperature). So, adding cacao butter together with cocoa powder would be ideal.
oh my goodness !
would it be possible to make it more sweet by just adding more maple syrup? or this one spoon is exactly what needs to be regardless or sweetness of the cholate due to some texture / consistency reasons?:)
Honestly, I would use sweeter chocolate rather than adding more liquid sweetener (to make the fudge sweeter).
@@NutritionRefined yeah that would have to do then, i am quite suprised tbh your kids like this version ~ i think i saw that in your comment replies ~ bc even my parents aka adult people with more seemingly refined taste :p said it was too bitter 🙈
❤
Can you use Cacoa powder ?
You do need real chocolate. If you used just cacao powder, you would also need to add cacao butter.
@@NutritionRefined Thank you 💜
so basically you took a small chocolate and made a bigger chocolate?
👍🤩😍💝
The amount of each in ml/gm?
Hi Ankita - the recipe with the exact measurements and directions is on my blog: nutritionrefined.com/chocolate-fudge/
@@NutritionRefined ok got it!!
@@NutritionRefined ok got it!!
Bad chemicals in some chocolate, I thought you may have used cacao and coconut oil 🤔
