John Ritter was one of those kind of guys we weren't supposed to lose. He was funny, genuine and kind. Hollywood doesn't have many of those types these days.
His role in sling blade was incredible. It's like he transformed every aspect of himself to become Vaughan, his looks, speech, southern accent, small town guy. Still my favorite role he ever did. Between him and Bill Paxton, two stars that left us way to early.
Thats the role i will always remember him by, definitely his best acting, and one of my all time favorite movies. You dont even think of Vaughan as John Ritter, its hard to describe, but a role where you dont realize who the actor is and he becomes that character in his soul, thats Vaughan. Every role in Sling Blade is perfect
I met a limo driver in LA that transported a lot of celebrities around. Asked him who his favorite was. He said John Ritter. He said John was the absolute nicest guy and he tipped REALLY well.
His son, Jason, is pretty talented too. He voiced Dipper from _Gravity Falls_ , and was in _Freddy vs. Jason_ . I think John would have been proud of him.
You forgot to mention John Ritter was on the Waltons before threes Company where he played a reverend on Waltons mountain. Nice tribute, great job on all your videos.
And he was a Tennis playing Minister on Mary Tyler Moore and a Ski Instructor I think on Soap. Either that or another Tennis Pro. It suited him. He was great in those early years. You could see it coming.
I can't imagine John as 73 as he would've turned today! I know he would still be John, not slowing down, still loving & making everyone squirt sprite through their nose. You will never be forgotten John, you are loved too much. Thanks, Scott I thoroughly enjoyed this video. 💞💞
He was one of my favorite actors. I was heartbroken when I heard the news. I loved 8 Simple Rules. I believe that show would’ve lasted a long time had he not passed away. I grew up watching Three’s Company. There will never be another Jack Tripper. He played good bad guys too. The Lifetime movie I absolutely love is Lethal Vows. I watch it all the time. He was a very good man. Thank you for sharing this Scott.
His father was a pioneer - Tex Ritter, as was John. He was the master of mechanical comedy, loved him in Slingblade. . A sad day it was.... thanks Scott.
My dad met Tex Ritter and I thought it was so awesome that he was John's dad!!! I absolutely loved John Ritter ❤️ RIP Sweet Man😚 You were one of a kind ❣️ You gave many laughs to millions of us and we thank you 🌹🌹🌹
Lining up the studios and hospital and cemetery like that... it is full circle in a sense. You wish he could have lived a longer life, but what a great one he had in his time on Earth. Threes Company we watch in reruns almost every day. If you need some nostalgia and laughter...it is your go to show. Another video that shows the dedication (time, effort and research), you put in to each video.
John was a amazing, funny person .... he's my #1 on my top five list. What he created in any role he took on was and is truly remarkable. Thank u John for ur work and the love u gave for ur fans. Rest easy my friend. Thanks Scott for another great video much love
John Ritter's death hit me really hard, I watched everything tv series & movie he was ever in. Definitely one of my favorite actors of all time. So sad, he died way too young, so tragic. Great video Scott. RIP John Ritter 🙏🙏🕊🕊
He was absolutely my favorite as a child as Jack and as a teen I loved him in Problem Child and Sling Blade. He was truly brilliant in anything he did on screen. He was taken far too soon.
Loved all his work and grew up loving him on Three's Company! You can also see him more often right now on The Waltons reruns playing a young preacher. Thank you Scott for another great video! Keep up the great work and catch you in your next live stream!
John's death was a shock to me. He was just so full of life. Heartbroken when the news broke of his passing. He certainly left his mark in the world. Rest In Peace John...Heaven got a whole lot funnier since you arrived. ✨🌻
When John Ritter passed away at a young age, a lot was said about 8 Simple Rules and Three's Company but very few people recognized him as Rev. Fordwick on the Waltons. Many may have known and loved him for his comedic work. Little is said about his role on the Waltons. A role I loved to see play out on Thursday night in the early 70's. God Bless You Rev. Matthew Fordwick on the Waltons. You certainly taught this fan some life lessons
John Ritter actually did a movie with Dorothy Stratton called “They All Laughed”, the Playboy centerfold that was murdered shortly after filming by her crazy boyfriend Paul Snider in 1981. The movie was released after her death.
A week before he passed, he was at DCA signing autographs and meeting fans. Looking at the long line, I kept walking. I don’t believe in regrets, only learning. That however is a regret I will keep for the rest of my life.
Similar thing happened to me when I paid to meet Adam west and burt ward. Me and my friend got put in the wrong line and we waited 2 hours to learn that it was the wrong line the entire time. It was already 4 and it closed at 6 so there was no way he was going to get to us by then. not sure if they stayed to get through the line or not but we left with a refund of the meet and greet. Adam west died maybe 2-3 months later from cancer. Will always hold a grudge with that expo and their staff for that.
Thank you so much. I was born in 19⁷7 so I grew up watching Threes Company, Sandford and Son, Golden Girls, Cheers ect. With my grandma I always LOVED John Ritter and Larry!
Dude just watching the intro gave me tears of joy!!!!! I grew up watching THREE'S COMPANY as a lil kid 1 of my most favorite tv shows of all time as well as my favorite actor JOHN RITTER.... 1 of a few celebs that passed away that actually hurt my heart to see leave this earth..... Thanks Scott for an amazing video on him!!!!
"It just didn't have the same magic without John Ritter" Our world doesn't have the same magic without him. I was privileged to have met and worked with him in my high school drama class. Somebody had arranged for him to come work with us for a couple days. Those few hours were some of the most amazing hours of my life. Such a beautiful, caring and encouraging man. You are 100% correct in your assertion that if you didn't like John Ritter there was something wrong with you. I felt like I lost a friend.
Scott once again you do these videos with such taste! This one was so awesome to once again remember John Ritter. May he Rest in peace. Never can thank him enough for the laughs . Watched with my family every day who are now gone too. Such memories!
I love John Ritter. I know him mostly from the Problem Child movies, IT and Stay Tuned amongs other things. It's really unsettling to know that on that day he went into work not knowing that 4 days later he would be in the ground just across the road. So sad. His death was such a loss.
I liked all his movies shows and my favorite movie was problem child and 2. 8 simple rules... When he died i.said no way i cryed cause he died on his little girls birthday. I hope her little girl known how much he loved her.
This is an example of the meaning of a circle of life. I was such a John Ritter fan growing up it was unbelievable!. The sadness I felt the day he died I still feel it as if it was yesterday. Scott thank you so much for truly beautiful tribute as always thank you! 🌹🤣💔🤣🌹
Thanks Scott, we all miss him! My fave go to sitcom is Threes Company when I need a laugh it's truly because of John! I still laugh my butt off every time... Miss you John thanks for making us smile!😁🤣😅👋😇
I love Ritter 😭 That mural at the cemetery is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Scott ! My heart misses the good ones . Ritter was definitely one of the good ones .
Extremely well done luv. Very clear video and audio. You did John proud. You have a way of making people feel they're right there with you wherever you are while you tell the story. My favorite John Ritter was in 'Slingblade'. He was such a believable and versatile actor. I miss him.
John Ritter hits home for me in lots of ways. My parents loved his father Tex, I am an alumnus of USC like John and my son is also a Trojan alumnus (Fight on!) His final role was in Clifford's Really Big Movie which I took my young children to see shortly after John passed away. And I must admit I loved watching a young, handsome John and his gorgeous co-stars on Three's Company. The comedy of Norman Fell and Don Knotts put the show over the top! Another great video Scott you da man!
Awww Scott, John Ritter is a legend, he had natural talent, made this world a better place, his passing left such a void..thank you so much for this remembrance video 🤗
Beautiful, loving and respectful video. Thank you for sharing. I loved John Ritter. A great actor and a very wonderful man. Rip John. Never forgotten. ❤
Very touching video! I like how you put it together. I grew up watching Three's Company. I remember exactly where I was when I heard of John Ritter's death. I was so sad!Great actor!! Thank you for the video!
RIP John Ritter. been a fan for a lot of years. and thank you Scott for sharing this with those of us who may well have never otherwise got to see the areas you showed.
You are correct. Everyone including myself absolutely loves, and adores John Ritter. It was lunch time with my friends from high school when we would watch three's company and be in absolute pain from laughter. Those are very good memories for me and John I thank you for what you gave the world. You are very much missed.
Thanks do much for the video on John Ritter. I absolutely loved him in Three’s Company.. he was so funny and very sad about his misdiagnosis. May he rip. He was a shining star 🌟
John is one of those people where you can just see and feel how kind of a soul they have, shining even "through" their roles for lack of a better way to say it, like their kindness almost even breaks the fourth wall in a wonderful way, for me at least. I only knew him for 8 simple rules myself. I had seen the odd episode, but decided to start watching it in order since I found it on Disney+ ❤ Gone far too soon, and hopefully resting peacefully. Such a shame in misdiagnosis too especially for being literally around the corner from medical help For cases like this, I like to hope they avoided longer term suffering down the road by passing younger and quickly. Perhaps he avoided what would have been lengthy painful cancer, or something, only to then pass still fairly young anyway but more painful. I know we can never know, but I try to take some comfort in that possibility when good people go too soon. Perhaps they were spared, in a sense
John Ritter was such a good man. He brought many laughs to us all over the years. I still watch him on the reruns of Three's Company when I get the chance. RIP John. You are missed.🙏
Hey Man, thank you so much for making this video!!! I love John Ritter, forever and ever ❤❤❤ he will always live on in our hearts, and he's still making us laugh when we watch him do his thing...he truly was the best...

John Ritter was so funny. I still watch 8 simple rules sometimes. When the last four episodes of 8 simple rules when he passed away I didn’t know he died. Then I was looking up on the internet and I found out he passed away. Every time I would watch the episodes where he dies I would ball my eyes out. Threes company was good too. He died on his daughters birthday I think
@@annethomer9569 yes he did. He also has sons who are both actors as well. His son Jason Ritter did raise your voice with Hilary Duff. It’s a fantastic movie
Fantastic channel Scott, somehow you came up through some algorithm and now I'm hooked.. Thanks for all the work that goes into your video's, and entertainment you're bringing to YT.
You know when we listen to the music that we listened to when we were younger and watch the TV shows that we watched when we were younger we understand that this is all part of the soundtrack of our lives and John Ritter was certainly a part of that for me. We always watched Three's Company and we always enjoyed it and we miss him very much and to this day my mother still watches the show and misses John so much. Thank you so much for another Premiere video Scott you're doing great be safe out there enjoy yourself and we will see you later!
John Ritter's death hit me hard. I grew up with him and watched everything he did. He did not deserve to die so young
Agree so sad
I’m sorry for the loss I understand how impacted you I watch tv show once a while as not much
We never no when we are going to die it’s out of our control except Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior Repent of your sins
Me too. I bought the whole Three's Company DVD set in his honor. Not to mention it's a classic must-have!
I agree w/u🙏❤🕊🌈
It sucks that he's no longer around anymore. We still miss you john.
We love and miss you john r.i.p

John Ritter was one of those kind of guys we weren't supposed to lose. He was funny, genuine and kind. Hollywood doesn't have many of those types these days.
I had never cried when a celebrity passed, until John Ritter. So tragic and such a loss. My love and prayers to his loving wife and family❤️
I cried when he died. The only other 2 actors I cried over were Lucille Ball and Robin Williams
His role in sling blade was incredible. It's like he transformed every aspect of himself to become Vaughan, his looks, speech, southern accent, small town guy. Still my favorite role he ever did. Between him and Bill Paxton, two stars that left us way to early.
Honestly the most likable gay character in any movie and personally I’m not to big on the promotion of gay characters in movies
Omg me too I loved him in that movie 😔😔😔😔
Yeah. Bill Paxton was a terrible loss as well…

Yes!! I literally just commented this very same concept... Glad it's not just me!!
John Ritter was a very versatile actor, he will never be forgotten or replaced and there hasn't been anyone like him since

John Ritter: most underrated actor of all time
