This episode the Fiesta Automatic 2012 Is Back Might Have A Blown Engine But I'm I Liable And Fix For Free ????? - Авто та транспорт
I love your vlogs but blimey, you dont half waffle lol 😉
Some people, do not bother to check water & oil levels regularly, did they not even, look at the water temp gauge, when out driving.
Hi mate I spoke to them they didn’t see anything until it was too late 👍👍
Not all fiestas have a temperature gauge , my 09 plate zetec didn't
Yet another constructive day at resurwreck top job thanks for sharing 👍👍
That’s a new gearbox , my son’s fiesta had a recon box with same problem . As the fiesta I agree people seem to be not stopping when they see a red warning light on the dash . What a start to a Monday for you 👍
Why don’t you actually buy a rad pressure tester
the joys of being a mechanic hope it all goes well in the end.
Hi mate yeah the joys it will work out. 👍👍
Mark I dont think that car should be driven at all, that bearing is totally worn out and the rollers could end up jamming the gears compleatly. You don't want to be responsible for allowing it back on the road. Replacement gearbox is essential.
Replacement gear box needed, I wouldn't take a chance driving around with a gear box which could have loose metal floating around in it.
well used and abused in that time, didn't even check the engine temperature or the oil and water since bought i reckon, low budget customer who doesn't care about the car.
Hi mate you are so right 👍👍
Yes and a newly qualified driver ,not like one that nows what there doing with yrs of experience
Hi Mark , did the driver not notice the gauge go to bloody hot turn it off lol do not drive, SOUNDS LIKE DRIVER FAULT NOT YOURS
Hose is a wear and tear item when it got hot they should have turned it off straight away, I very much doubt this is an insurance issue
These days drivers have little connection with the car or environment they are in. Years ago drivers would have noticed the telltale signs of an overheating engine and stopped to avoid further damage. But there are more drivers now with little knowledge and are more concerned about getting to where they want to go.
You can guarantee this driver had no regard to water or oil levels, tyre pressures or gauges.
I hope its sorted amicably. Its not your fault, you make the cars mechanically sound before sale. You are not selling a new car and this could happen to any older car.
And the second car is a further example of a driver disconnected, and unaware how a vehicle works...
So so true.
Thanks mate appreciate it you are soo right the videos I do it’s a massive proof of what I do I do fill sorry for customer like this I’m sure it will work out 👍👍
These early fiestas don’t have a temperature gauge iirc , which never helps in a situation like this, the late ones have. A light coming on when it’s cooking is no good imo. A split hose is a shame as the 1.25 is such a reliable engine . The bottom clip on the radiator corrodes also and becomes loose causing a drip while eventually will lead to an overheating situation. As with any car, popping the bonnet now and again to keep an eye on levels is a must.
Hi mate it really is a shame the owner did see coolant on the floor but just continued driving
@@ResurwreckAutosUK madness, some people shouldn’t be driving ignoring a massive sign like that.
@@ResurwreckAutosUK I think all drivers have to do their checks before setting off.
I suppose the question is why did it overheat to start with ?
Put the drive shaft back in and see if theirs any movement in the diff bearings on the driveshafts cups
Looking forward to tomorrow's videos
Thanks mate appreciate it 👍👍
Drive shaft bearing will destroy the gearbox you cannot run that it is
They cant claim on insurance for mechanical failures only accidents
cant believe you told them to commit fraud on insurance. it only covers damage to car not engine car under warranty as you trader. if they take you to court you wont have leg to stand on. .
your dead right
@@MartinJones-tl9kt He is not right, hoses are not covered as they are wear and tear parts, so the part is not covered and the damage from the failure of that part is not covered.
Engine replacement and then gearbox replacement.... did you try to buy these cars from the customers? perhaps that is the best option for everyone.
Gearbox on kuga is toast! Do a compression test on the fiesta to get definitive answer!
You need to get yourself forscan to do the airbag modules you’ll save a lot of money
As a motor trader, the warranty you give with the cars you sell. Can't the buyer claim from there ?
Hi mate I don’t offer a extend warranty the owner has put his hands up and said it’s his fault 👍👍
I think this person doesn't release its an old car. They should have bought a newer car if they were going to this sort of mileage .
Hi mate yeah think you are right buddy 👍👍
29 mins in, that gearbox is toast mate.
Hi mate yeah looks that way the owner what’s me to find another one 👍👍
@@ResurwreckAutosUK thank goodness for that, with that bearing being like that, I can imagine the drive shaft, abandoning ship, in a really bad way.
Well tw jobs with identical problems both down to vehicles poor driver & maintenance or lack of it bread and butter work
That new oil seal will last the 23 miles to Copart,
Toast? more like a volcano waiting to explode🤣🤣
Mark, the Fiesta very suspect, buy it back and parts car it. The Kuga, that's a call to Gala Motors I think, second hand gearbox job I think.😐
That fiesta should be warranty unless you clearly state what mileage and time your warranty last up to.
That kuga gearbox is dangerous it could at best seize up and worst explode there's hardened roller bearings loose in that case and only bad things can happen could even cause an accident if the gearbox locks up bring the car to a sudden stop without brake lights on just the cost of recovering this car could exceed the cost of a replacement gearbox and you still need a gearbox.
The fiesta module may not work some modules have the vin number imbedded in them and the ecu will not recognise it if the vin numbers do not match, I had a problem with a focus audio module replaced it with an identical part number module and that would not work scanning it the vin number of the doner car was imbedded in it there may be a way of changing the vin number on the module maybe someone knows a way.
Running the engine out of coolant is not a warranty issue, you don't get rewards for being stupid otherwise i would be a millionaire🤣🤣
@@stevenc5227 But all she's done is drive the car with no warning lights or temp gauge she would need a crystal ball to know its overheating, nearest i have ever got to this was a focus and when that just slightly overheated you would think the world was coming to its end we got loud audio gongs and a red warning engine overheating stop!! on the display this car done nothing clearly a faulty temp sensor. the only time i would not entertain warranty is if it had stone or accident damage.
@@johnblack1157Mark said she was topping it up with coolant so knew about the problem, but then forgot about it, hence no more engine.
@@stevenc5227 some topping up is normal after a service and again where are the bells and whistles and message stop overheating !!
@@johnblack1157 Well when the magic smoke came out, it was game over, normal people who check their cars regularly know when there is a problem, she knew there was a leak as she kept topping up then ignored it, as Mark said she was topping it up then just stopped checking it 🤣🤣
I would try and turn engine over by hand b4 you make any big decisions
Hi mate u got no chance it scrap maty
You shouldn't drive that Kuga there is a possibility of it locking up and EXPLODING possibly causing injury
I don’t see that it is your problem if the customer bought a car as seen then it is down to them
On the car wiht the gearbox oil seal, did you discuss a used gearbox? If ther are metal pieces moving around, its possible the final drive may come apart. iThey used to call this a grenade bos),
Do you ever think when wheels and drive shafts are damaged in the original accidents that they may transfer some of the force to the bearing in the gearbox with eventual failure
Looks like the customer has neglected the car. 4k in 3 months!!! Looks abused to me.
thats her fault not yours
Do your self a favour give them their money back deduct the mileage use which your entitled to do fix it and sell it again make the problem go away
This isn’t his fault. It’s a 13 year old car and has done 4500 miles since he sold it.
I doesn’t work like that because of the consumer protection laws however in my opinion mark is wise enough and sensible enough to be able to prove that the fault was not there at the point of sale and the 4500 miles also proved that as it wouldn’t last 45 miles with a water leak I’m just speaking from personal experience if the customer is completely unreasonable it’s easier to make it go away because no matter how you try and repair it the chances are it would never be any good in there eyes even if it was perfect but it looks like his customer is understanding
@@sparky1543 it don't matter the age of the car if you sell it as a dealer hoses should be checked and should be in a condition that you can drive it for a reasonable time and mileage.
@@johnblack1157 mark checks all his cars before sale, 13 year old, 4.5k in 3 months , ignoring a pool of water… come on, this is nothing to do with Mark.
@@sparky1543 ohh come on it's a lady driver not a boy racer no warning lights no stone or accident damage, the only time she knew anything was wrong was steaming engine and yes if I sold it I would fix it for free , not blaming mark you live and learn check hoses.
Chuck it threw insurance, buy it back 10% value and then Chuck a new engine in aslong as they can afford insurance hike
