Great interview! Richie is what you call a 'complete musician', very inspiring in all levels and especially as a songwriter/guitarist! Cheers for this.
cool interview to a brilliant guitarist, especially the questions about songwriting etc. I still think his debut album is one of the best guitar album ever made, very creative and free
I remember as a kid listening to kotzens shrapnel records stuff . It was a crazy time for guitar players and it seemed like there was this amazing war between all these guys .
Fantastic interview! - great job! IMO Richie is one of the best singer/guitarists around today and incredibly underrated, especially his singing abilities. Saw him live with Winery Dogs - was EPIC. He just keeps cranking out the music and tearing it up on guitar - great stuff! Looking forward to his new record. Thank u for this interview - rock on! -David T, NLG EGI
agree about he said that the talk about gear gets 'extraordinarily boring after a while', because it is absolutely true for those who work on actual music....a painter would not get obsessed with paint brushes
John Coltrane’s “Giant step”? That’s incredible. Coltrane’s music is awesome. PS.: if you guitarist put a Giant Steps backing track and you’re able to improv over it, congrats, you really master the fretboard. 🙂
Really great hearing Richies story of his growing as a musician . It something where all going through as musicians. Different Roads that all lead to the same place musicly. -Thanks.

It is the Fly Rig that makes it possible for David to defeat Goliath and be enthroned as KING🎉CONGRATS Richie the King of the most incredible live music experience on earth 👏😻your songs are so good I don't want to listen to anything else which suits me fine
I've been building and repairing amps for over twenty years. Of course there's a difference between point to point and PCB amps. You can hear the difference when you go from cheap instrument cables to a quality one. With that said, how would one think that there wouldn't be a difference between having every component connected directly to the next component versus one that has a conductive trace drawn onto a board connecting each components?
Kotzen is one hell of player and songwriter

Ritchie's got an interesting mind.
Love the comment on digital modellers. “I have 52 amps around the house, why would I plug in something and play make believe!” owch! 😂
Hi how are you rock on dude l am learning to play guitar basic power chords
I always think it’s funny when guys have signature amps but use something else on stage a year later lol
