      the state atheism is Utopianism, a religious magical belief system. Maybe Nietzsche just gave the powers that dare, the idea that human WILL have their "idols of explanations" as a default of the human condition...hence the control mechanism is the 'natural need for belief', or the control of it.

      Why are you quoting Frederick Nietzsche who was a absolute anti-semite and used by the Nazi party as a precursor for their final solution Theory ? This man helped to propagate lies about Jewish people and Judaism that helped kill millions in gas Chambers

      I don't know if these are your personal views about environmentalists, or the views of your producers, but I disagree.
      These "environmentalists" couldn't care less about the planet. They use fossil fuels and they destroy the environment just as much as everybody else. In fact, its typically these people that cannot exist without civilization's survival spaces that we know as cities, where they can live in their own comfort zone without having to lift a finger.
      So whats going on with these people? Its simple. Its just like Orwell said - "its not that they love the environment, its that they hate humanity"
      And they hate humanity cause they hate themselves, cause the ideology they follow conditioned them to hate themselves. If these people were serious about saving the planet they would bury themselves alive under 6 feet of dirt.
      But thats not a very effective way of hating humanity is it? So instead they try to dictate other people's lives while preaching from their phony altar of moral superiority, and at the same time trying to hide their own lack of spine behind "saving the planet".
      In reality the only real goal these people have is their hate towards individualism, freedom, and prosperity.
      They truly are evil, and they're mentally ill.

    I was never religious, but it's becoming increasingly obvious to me that the rise in political polarization on both sides of the spectrum (left and right) has something to do with the rise in atheism and widespread rejection of religion. Interestingly, the older I get, the more I come to see religion in a positive light, even though I was a "proud" atheist when I was younger and always made fun of religious people for believing everything in their life was dictated by an invisible god in the sky. However, the problem is that if humans can't find meaning in life through religion, they will try to find it through something else, and this is precisely what we're experiencing right now. People are flocking to ideology--take "wokeness" for example--as a means to give meaning to their existence. This has resulted in the growing political divide we're presently at grips with.

      This is exactly true....humans are going to ascribe meaning and look for it where there is none....religion always served to fill that void, and now it's fading away in the Western world and being replaced by secular ideology that serves like a replacement religion. What's odd to me, is that the new secular religion isn't even original, it basically rebrands Christianity tenants using secular language/ideals. You can see the similiarities when you look close:
      Christianity: we are all sinners because of original sin of Adam & Eve.
      Secular woke: we are all sinners because of colonialism.
      Christianity: we must all repent for our sins.
      Secular woke: we must all repent for the sins of our ancestors through acknowledging your "white privilege" and other forms of restitution.
      Christianity: Look to Jesus for what's just and right, Jesus will provide judgment.
      Secular woke: look to society for justice, society rules/laws will implement "justice".
      I could go on....the similarities between them are eerie. Odd because woke people hate religion, especially Christianity......yet they modeled their woke ideology after the hallmarks of Christianity principles. The irony.

      Covid, political climate, Russia war, inflating economy, and aging in general has made me MUCH more religious than I was in my late teens-early twenties. It doesn’t really matter to me whether gods real or not, I’m choosing to err on the side of caution per Pascal’s wager. Besides if living according to religious principles makes people behave better, then in a sense, isn’t God real?

      I think it's more attributable to the decline of enlightenment philosophy. The declaration of independence spells out the central tenet:
      We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
      The ideal is not democracy, it is consent. We have a system where rights go to the individual, and commonwealth is managed through democracy. The polarization is because of growing intolerance and failure to agree to disagree. We don't need a god, that is just bullshit and a talking point for people eager to strip you of your civil rights.

      I have travelled the exact same path. I dont need religion but the masses do. I never thought I'd be here but god-worship clearly poses less problems than man-worship does. There are also enough religions to offer somewhat of a balance in most countries. That covid cult is terrifying.

      I agree God-worship poses less problems. God-worship in general is a vertical relationship.....between the individual and the "man in the sky". Judgement comes in the afterlife from the "man in the sky". Woke secular religion is a horizontal relationship among sects of society, where some sects get to pass judgement and other sects get to be judged....in the here and now. Who gets to play the "Secular God" and get the right to pass judgement? Who is to be judged and condemned? Pitting sects of society against each other will never end well.

    I think imagining a better world does not necessarily mean wanting a better world or hating the real world. Imagination and imagining great things is an important tool for self development and reflecting. Imagination can be an escape, but also a source of inspiration.

      @@daemonsilver3304 Yes exactly. I sometimes wonder if people who have a poor imagination are more prone to being manipulated by utopian ideas like that, or people who are less intelligent. I also wonder if that's not the case and wonder if I could be manipulated in such a way as well. I feel like I'm much more likely to think critically and look at religions from a more wide perspective. I often recognise snippets of my own philosophy and understanding of the world in alot of religions, so I could never fully commit to one doctrine, as far as I'm aware.

      @@cosmolosys All things are possible in the grand universe. But yes, it is an increasingly common condition for humanity to enter adulthood with no internal dialogue, and therefore be devoid of creativity. You see it in the extremist political types.
      As unto those blindfolded from birth, who therefore never develop the portions of the brain which process what is seen, and therefore remain blind for life, even with perfectly fine eyes, so it is that the generations washed in big screen fiction, who never bother to read, are blind to things imagined.

      I appreciate the reflection I'm your comment. I have been concerned about the negative critique of our current time. Suffering is a constant. It doesn't matter what generation or time you have been born in. All people have suffered and learned. I am 56 and life was extremely difficult. Sometimes I suffered greatly, sometimes not so much. Despite suffering I didn't reject or hate the world.

    On that topic The demons by Dostoievsky is just a monumental artwork, and the way it covers nihilism and its propagation, eventhough it stands as a novel, are extremely revelant here I believe.

Its according to the old ways, how to introduce a person, they don't do that in cinema anymore... one reasons, why Hollywood sucks. I'm happy for you, I read the book in 3 days or so, even loosing hunger and intrest to anything else. It was such a captivating experience ^^ I wish I could disguss this book somewhere, without spoiling it to the newcomers... :o

      @@nicodemous52 correct. The scientism promoted by the likes of Richard Dawkins or Stephen Hawkings will not satisfy humans because science only describes the world.
      It doesn't tell us how it should be or answer any moral questions.

      Nietzsches work is difficult to read, and even harder to understand. without the proper context and temperance through life experience, one risks drawing dark and sinister conclusions from his work. Reading his work is like balancing on a knife edge, with profound truths about the human condition on on side, and the abyss of madness on the other. Would not recommend Nietzsches work to the mind of a teenager, its much better to read Nietzsche in ones mid twenties and onward.

    I believe there is a correlation between Western nihilism and the 24/7 despair and division we see and hear on the news, from our political "leadership" and the continuous echo of that same despair of approval and disapproval from the common people on social media.

      I think a lot of people don't give Christianity enough credit for labelling everyone as a sinner to start. There's something so simplistic, humble, but also valid with the idea that destruction is the default. Its our ability to make choices to pursue something beyond us that represents all that is good. You could make the argument that over abundance has led to child mentality within most people nowadays. Almost like evolution, really knows what its doing when it invokes suffering, as if it were to counter the weak, privledged notion that everything should be taken for granted in order to satisfy some unquestioned false belief that what "feels" is "good", all the while criticizing others, unable to see the obvious contradiction of your own selfish desire for control. There is something off about how we think, and I hate it.

      it seems that it is accepted belief that it is easier to control a person that is in a near state of panic because it bypasses the critical thinking frontal cortex and taps into the fight or flight logic... in short I pretty sure you are correct because that seems to be the message every election...fight 2022 the latest

      For this reason I've given up on America and the West. I've been in Russia since 2014 and life here is easier somehow. Materialism is trying to take over but it can't conquer the Russian soul. So stoic, strong and proud. My Scandinavian ancestors would be depressed to see the state of our homeland. Don't even get me started on America :/

    A great way of taking in what society has plaguing itself within.
    All of these radically senial thoughts and ideas making people fight amongst themselves is a fall into despair and a chaotic state of mind where it gives people purpose in a negative aspect and invoke their negativity upon others around them.
    This is really eye opening and refreshing to see. Great video

      Could then Nihilism be a form of coping for not being able to prevent the end of the world although you can see it? As to feel good about the end of the world would also imply your own end. I mean I have no idea but are nihilist happy? I assume not. It is more like a sadistic form of being black pilled and being resentful and apathetic

      @@theinfjgoyim5508 I was writing from my own past experience and I would say in some petty way I was happy, about being "right" and feeling superior but in so many other ways I was just depressed and miserable, and I'm pretty sure I only made things worse around me.

It is such a strength to admit what you just did and especially wrote that you made things worse around yourself, because some "superior" people I know they would run away from admitting those uncomfortable feelings, discards people like objects and continues to play this delusional self-serving nihilistic game. I have faced myself as well, had no other way around. You would destroy everyone around and I would destroy myself. The result is the same, because it affects everything, but the energy is directed differently.

    This was very well done. It is an essential point in philosophy of if all of religions is just a way to deny reality or not. My view, as a huge fan of both Nietzsche and "religion", see these views to both make important points, but still in the final analysis, they are not antithetical.
    How so? First, Nietzsche is correct that denying this world in which we actually live is a self-defeating act. You were also very wise to cite how Paul tried to fuse Greek thought with Christian thought, because this is where the problem is (they are fundamentally antithetical). If all of the following are true, there is no conflict between Nietzsche's views and Christian views: 1) Earth is a place where fallen entities come, 2) but it is perfect for them, because it is designed to allow raising of consciousness, 3) there are truer worlds, but they are not available to those of fallen consciousness due to how consciousness works. Therefore, humans should embrace this world and be "in" this world, but not "of" this world, meaning humans should focus on raising consciousness to embrace obviously logical necessities like there is only one universe and therefore we are indeed all one and so the Will to Power means seeing how collaboration is more powerful than egoism and dog-eat-dog/might is right thinking. The paradox is the real power is the power of love, and selfish power fails in the long run and is not powerful at all.

Just clouded over by mechanical thoughts. And there we find a higher positive emotion which cannot change due to external circumstances. Martin Butler doesn't teach me this. But Gurdjieff does.     11:39 This one struck hard, it is me. 33 yo, I spent the first ~30 years of my life deeply in Christianity, born and raised in USA, going to church, etc.
    The bullshit from the last ~4 years is the "faith crisis" (not just faith in God, but in humans, in almost every man-made institution I grew up with) that has driven me to perhaps become somewhat nihilistic and deeply distrustful of most sources other than my own personal experience (yes, this includes moderate distrust of even history books and things I read online.)
    I study more history and philosophy, lately. I'm very intrigued and have somewhat become "amoral," although there are certainly parts of me that still cling to my youth, my parents' shadow, and to Christian teachings (I don't view this as a bad thing, I'm just interpreting things more for myself, instead of allowing other people to tell me what something means.) I'm much more open to listening to viewpoints of others that just 5 years ago I would have found deeply disturbing and probably would have walked away from immediately. Hell, I hardly like Star Wars but I've been watching videos about the philosophies of the light side versus the dark side just fuckin because.
    I have no idea how to come to terms with things. It's not causing me much anxiety, but it is something I ponder as I talk to people online, or as I go about my personal hobbies.

      What do you mean “be good at.” Life is like a dance, it’s not about how fast or precise we are, it’s about just that: dancing. Some are extravagant and complex with their dances, some just shimmy around, many are just doing what’s popular and trending. But dance is a form of expression, so true is life. You are only “good at life” if you want to be. Dancing is supposed to be a dramatic and enjoyable experience, find pleasure in it and work to express yourself more.

      @crassgop then I would congratulate him for making the first step towards self actualization: understanding that something is wrong. Many go though life believing that life is responsible for their unhappiness, but like you said “I’m bad at living” implies that this person takes ownership of their life. The belief that your efforts contribute to positive and negative outcomes is already an achievement over others who simply chalk their efforts up to luck. And studies have shown that individuals (regardless of success) who believes that they are in control of their lives have a positive correlation with perceived wellbeing (happiness). The next step of course would be to ask “why am I bad at life?” or “what is MY life?”

    Utopia is from two Greek words, "oo" and "topos" they translate to mean "no place". Therefore, Utopia isn't a destination, it's no place, technically, the nihilistic view. That being said, I love your content, you guys have incredible content that everyone everywhere should take the time to listen and learn. I've heard many on many channels discuss the very things you discuss, but no where near as accurate and concise, I recommend your channel to everyone.

    Well, God has taught me that i ought to suffer for righteousness as he did on the cross. That this is how redemption was won. Not in the avoidance of suffering but
    Facing it with courage for what is right. This i find gives meaning to suffering.
    Nietze critized christianity with what i assume is a lack of manliness. But i find that its at the core of sacrifice.
    Manliness without righteousness will diminish us into beasts.
    Manliness must be married with the ideal.
    To lose the ideal is to lose direction.
    I do not think suffering with courage can sustain itself for long without heaven as its aim. Cut out heaven and all you have left is an angry man shaking his fist at God for not existing.

    Dear GOD!!! I got a lot to unpack here. It's not the first time I've understood this but this time it really sunk in.... (Breath Luke). I love you guys!! I really do. I don't like everyone but I see you as myself. Apart we are grains of sand, together we are planet earth. I live with a very painful, incurable disease and it's taught me that there are beautiful lessons in the darkest of places. I feel like that's why I'm here, to suffer and learn. Perspective is everything. How interesting is my place in the human record going to be? Maybe I'm writing a book in time to keep me in line when my place comes in eternity. Is it going to be chapters of complaints? I hope not!! I hope it will be full of valuable lessons!!!!! We live in a world where being a victim is a good thing.... Our minds have been poisoned by materialism! We lost our tribe... This applies to so much of our current situation.
    Respect to the seeker!!! You guys are obviously thinking on a level so many of our brothers and sisters aren't capable of. I think most of it is willful ignorance. Thank you from the center of my heart for having the courage to look deeper!!! Knowledge is my candle and my heart is my compass!

      @@audryskelecius9948That's kind of you! I don't talk about it much but to give you perspective I will. I have CRPS in my left leg and Gray Matter disease that manifest in MS like symptoms. I'm in a wheelchair but I can get around in arm crutches if I have to. I have really bad kyphosis with many pinched nerves that I can't relieve with surgery out of fear of spreading my CRPS. My leg feels like I have second degree burns on it. Sometimes it's intense pressure and a frost bite sensation. Nothing compares to nerve pain on this level. Ketamine helps but if you want kidneys you can't do that everyday. Morphine does very little. It's untreatable for the most part. I get monthly epidurals the same procedure that pregnant women get. It helps for about 2 weeks. I'm profoundly ill but I refuse to give up my light. The devil itself can't touch it.
      All this pain has humble me and made me a far more empathetic person. I have all the time in the world to read now. I still have sunrises and birds songs. I fear death far less, I fear less in general. If pain is wisdom I might be getting somewhere 😜. Life is full of contrast and it's not easy for any of us. I'm not complaining about the gift of life. It's just a lot harder to get the most out of it.

Their ideas is to attack our biology and nature and unite with technology to cull our worse instincts and truly become civilized. Religion and laws won’t be needed . Just attack testosterone so men is less aggressive more peace and utopia.
