I got this deck recently because i was going through a traumatic time and needed a comforting and supportive voice as a deck. This deck feels compassionate, empowering and a positive light when you feel tender and need a truthful gentle voice.
This was my first deck and still one of my favourites. I was waiting for your thoughts on this deck ❤️ I absolutely love it and definitely recommend it to anyone. I love how although these cards have borders, it doesn’t interrupt the art at all.
@@WickedMoonlight1 I also love that the suits give us the element symbol it corresponds with. Like for example shells is cups, and the water symbol helps you to remember that.

This is the first deck I purchased for myself on a whim, I just couldn’t go past that art style it’s so so gorgeous and it works really well paired with my Dreams of Gaia deck too! I love the energy working with this deck it’s very gentle but empowering when it needs to be!
I bought the deck because i love animals and i also love the art however got a little upset because i realized i cant really use it for client work , however i am still new with this deck ! hopefully if i familiarize myself i will be able to use it :) overall i love using this deck for my self care journal

That's really a nice deck. Maybe it's one for me to get and use. It might pair wonderfully with the Shadowscapes Tarot. Thanks for doing the flip thru and sharing your thoughts. What else to say: I haven't picked it up yet, because I didn't feel comfortable with animals of the world. My own animal spirit guides are culture based ... so I didn't connect too well ... until now. ... the deck itself relies heavily on animal symbolism. At first glance I didn't spot any odd choices (which is quite rare). It's also great that the deck abandons the classical suits (swords, wands, cups, pentacles) and replaces them with better fitting symbols that better align with the elements and the animals in the suits. Also: Very few animals depicted belong to quite dimorphic species. That way the gender/sex boxes loose significance - as you said. An animal deck could be constructed otherwise. The lion doesn't change that ... for nature knows afab lions with manes. In many ways ... this deck lacks the rigid categories the RWS does use. With "the shaman" and "the shadow" there are two renamed major arcana ... both remove religious connotations - which is fine. Yet: The meaning of "the shadow" is reversed when compared to other decks. I like it. But it's something to be aware of when reading. My take: It is a wonderful and gentle deck ... that breaks away from the RWS much more than it seems to. I'd say it is beginner friendly ... but I'd also say if you're going to learn the RWS ... this deck won't help you (it might even add confusion). ... blessings.
I just got this deck so was glad to see your review the same day I got it. I chose it from all the animal decks on the market because it was so gentle and you could get lost in the artwork and it is usable as both tarot and oracle. I use it just as you did to shuffle and pull one to work on throughout a day or as shadow work prompt etc. I was looking at Animal Kin as well. I envision being able to use it with people who don't relate to tarot as well as an affirmation.

Stop doing reviews on decks I want to buy lol. The artwork on the cards is stunning. Like you can get lost just looking at it. I totally agree that it's a gentle deck but can probably pack a pretty good punch when needed. I actually like the keywords on the cards. It's done in a way there it blends in very nicely. @@WickedMoonlight1 I learned on the Rider-Waite System..... and found too that soft colors are best for me to read I don't like vibrant colors much except for the Light Seer's Deck.... I LOVE Modern Witch It's My Go To Also!!!! Dreamscapes Too!
@@chipsmoradas2955 Rider Waite will always be my go to of course I learned with it over 25 years now.... This one is one you have to really get your own vibe with and bond with to me its so soft on the eyes for one thing so my readings with it are usually very much low key per say and I like that diversity with tarot cards I have many decks but this one is one of my favorites I think too the animals I love animals animals are drawn to me so much I don't know how to tell you how to work with it you have to find your own vibe and too it just may not be a deck that is for you that's for anyone with any deck right
Out of all my tarot decks, this continues to be my number one deck. I connect with it so closely. It was one of my first. I pick this deck up, when I need to be grounded to nature. I need something that isn't light & dark, but simply loving. 🦓🦏🦉🦔🦈🦎🐫🐕🐙🐘🐒🐈🐇🐆

I really appreciate you reviewing this deck, I go to the zoo alot so I'm very knowledgeable about animals in general & would love to purchase this deck, the only issue I have is that my hands are small & the cards themselves look larger than say playing card size 🃏
