Denis would need to go on the attack immediately and not default to a defensive move like he did with Devon, otherwise Ermes will press him. I respect Ermes but I’m also rooting for Denis to get back close to his former self. Let the best man on the day win.

To be honest, judging Denis based on his match against Devon is unfair since Devon is extremely strong now and he also humiliated Ermes.
I also think that Denis performed better than Ermes against Devon. Or to be more accurate, Devon spent too much effort to pin Denis vs. Ermes.
to me this is like a 50-50 match, we all want Denis to win and I hope he comes to this match better prepared and much stronger.

You are still so wrong...
You keep forgetting that Devon beated Ermes because he COMPLETELY DENIED to use his backpressure and sidepressure.
Because Ermes completely lost his PRONATOR there (unlike during the Levan's match, where he didn't completely lose that, so he was still able to use Back and sidepressure).
If Ermes was able to keep his pronator there, just like against Lalentin, he was going to beat Larrat in the same way Levan did. Because as Levan said in this interview, Larrat mostly lacked armpower (and indeed Ermes was saying the same when he practiced with Devon after the match, and he said that in hook he was flashpinning Devon like nothing).
In the Denis match, Devon WENT THROUGH Denis' weapons!!!
Devon opened Denis like a tin can.
He opened his wrist (not his pronator), his elbow and even his shoulder.
Devon was superior in almost everything than Denis.
In Ermes match, instead, Devon just had a much more superior pronator, and JUST that was crucial for Ermes.
All this to explain why Ermes looked so much powerless against Devon.
But this doesn't mean that Denis was better than Ermes.

devon never had a real match with denis in 2018 on right arm however denis won devon on left arm in a real match. practise pulls on right arm do not count.
devon won richard lupkes in high hook on right 6 to 0 while prime denis struggled with richard lupkes in hook almost lost. devon even in past would win denis c on right. this version of devon wins any version of denis on right.

if denis comes in and starts attacking in the ready go then for sure i can see him winning a few rounds if not the the whole match, but he has to remain offensive and not immediately resort to the defense like he did with devon. otherwise ermes will just press him to do pad
